Five huge subplots to the NBA Finals (blog post)
Wrote this a few days ago, forgot to post though :( And I was wondering what everyone else thought of regarding weird or sarcastic subplots. I feel like something with Juwan Howard and Patty Mills could've been mentioned...
I like this article! But here's one you missed:
Pop vs. Stern: Remember back in November/December, when the Spurs were fined $500,000 for not playing their starters? Who was that against? Yep...the Miami Heat! Stern's reasoning of "ruining the basketball product for the fans" was absolutely ridiculous, and they should not have been fined. What a better way to say F*** you to Stern than for the Spurs to beat the Heat in the Finals, and have him hand the trophy to Pop? That's the one storyline keeping me watching, XD
Hey thanks you two for the lovely compliments <3 haha. I was going to mention the Pop versus Stern saga, but I actually thought that was an obvious one to look at :/ well that and LeBron vs. Duncan II.
I agree though that the fine was ridiculous, especially when April might as well be Tank Month for 1/3 of the teams in the league.
Maybe if the Spurs are up 3-0 Pop will troll Stern (and Spo) by resting his starters in Game 4?
Well done again, you're a pretty good writer.
Nice read! +1
I was curious about what The Onion had in store for Tim Duncan, but then I saw they published a story on Thursday.
"Tim Duncan Argues Theory Of Infinite Divisibility Prevents Any Team From Winning Championship"
Thanks for the compliments, all. Much appreciated.
