FISHER IS DONE AS A STARTER

im a big laker fan..been one for awhile now and as much as it pains me to say this it must be said..fisher should not be starting anymore...he no longer has the speed to keep up with todays point guards and worst of all he cant constinatly hit the open three ball...as a matter of fact he has shot more airballs in this playoffs alone then i have ever seen him shoot in my life of watching the laker games...this decline in defense hasnt been that step though because i recall him getting destroyed the past 2 years by todays point guards in the playoffs...i just dont see why phil jackson cant see it but fisher is best as a back up now...and i cant leave without saying once again how soft paul gasol is and now im starting to realize that he is a lazy defender and doesnt attack the boards...odom also is lazy on defense..its real evident against the rockets because there bigs are hard workers...as i write this brooks is killing fisher once again

i think Fisher starts because of Kobe's comfort level with him. we all know Kobe gets what he wants. he might demand a trade if he doesnt get his way! lol

what other reason could there be? that's gotta be it. he's been through the fires with Kobe and Phil, so they're comfortable with him on the floor. Plus, he provides some toughness.

phil

yeah its because phil is comfortable with him..trust me kobe would still play hard and try to win if farmar was out there...like most coachs phil is stuck in his ways and he is just blinded top the writtings on the wall..its the same with jerry sloan and how he kept backing up deron williams with brevin knight when everyone in the world knew ronnie price would do a better job

I like Shannon Brown better

I like Shannon Brown better than Farmar and Fisher. He has been pretty consistent from what I've seen.

Magic and Jordan didn't run

Magic and Jordan didn't run off their all-star teammates like Kobe did. So I really don't think they are worst than Kobe, and they never threatened to sign with another team if they didn't get their way.

my brother played overseas

my brother played overseas with gerld paddio ( i think i spelled it right) and he confirmed alot of stories on how jordan was...the reason he didnt run off teammates is because they knew he ran the team..theres alot of things that went on that wasnt reported...and kobe didnt run off shaq. tmanagement did as well as shaq..shaq was asking for ALOT of money that the lakers werent willing to pay..and if i was management i would have picked kobe over shaq too ..now if shaq was in his prime thats a different story. and shaq has shown since hes very difficult to deal with..yes kobe has a ego but what superstar didnt..they all have thats why its laughable that peopel say kobe has more of a ego then other past stars..its pretty will known that jordan wasnt the best of teammates...best ever though

Well how do you explain him

Well how do you explain him asking to be traded because he felt "betrayed" by the Lakers front office? Trust me, he is about even with M.J. in the ego department.

i will agree about superstars and their egos, but i think Jordan's approach was all about winning in the end. i think Kobe was more concerned about proving that he can win a title as "the man". that duo could have been legendary. plus, the whole Colorado thing, ratting out Shaq to detectives, puts him on a whole another level as a bad teammate.

lol..i forgot about the

lol..i forgot about the ratting out shaq thing..yeah you got me there..ai dont count the colorado thing because that was about the girl getting money..for those who dont know he had been messing with her for a min i wasnt just that one time thing..jordan had alot of women but none accussed him of anythign because he was breaking them off wih dough the same as shaq and most other of the nba players do. an yeah what kobve did wit the whole trade hing ws wrong i will admit but so far since then he has grown up in that lil time and hes alot more about winning...i can understand the whole do it with out shaq thing though with everyone sayoing he cant and then shaq constantly letting him he cnt every chance he gets.....ive noticed about shaq he tends to throw everyone under the bus( management players etc) after hes done playing with or for them and he hates ot be called out on anything and no one seems to have enough balls to call him out

shaq

i love Shaq, and he is great as long as you dont cross him. he is overly sensitive, but he always speaks the truth and he doesnt hold back, which is great as a fan. when you're on his good side he is just so likable. the media loves him for the most part, so if i was involved in the NBA i would def think twice before speaking negatively about him. Van Gundy, for instance, got what he deserved. Kobe deserves whatever he gets from Shaq for the ratting incident. i wish more people would call shaq out. then we'd get more freestyle disses and locker room quotes, which never disappoint.

I'm actually...

I'm actually liking Shannon Brown, he's looked nothing short of great (considering he was a throw in). I hope he gets more important minutes as the playoffs continue on.

fisher is done

i agree that fisher should be coming off the bench. hey, he did come off the bench for the jazz before he went back to the lakers. fisher is tough and he can match up well against big guards. farmar isn't ready yet and he is not tough enough to guard the likes of deron and chauncey. farmar is better off coming off the bench and is better as a sixth man. shannon brown has been impressive for the lakers. he was supposed to be a throw-in but i guess morrison was the throw-in now. i won't mind if he starts for the lakers now. he's tough, he's big, he's athletic, he can create his own shot and he can dish. he's not going to be a star but he's just the right guy to replace d-fish. i hope he stays. i see him replacing fisher after next season.

i just remebered after listening to jim rome..magic ran off his coach and jordan ran off doug collins ( that one wasnt a secret)..so as far as kobe running off shaq..that i dont agree with even shaq says it was management who ran him off..but kobe shouldnt have told on shaq about his women though i agree with that
