First Time All-Stars

I know it is very early yet but am just thinking of who would be in contention to play in their first All-Star Game...

Greg Monroe, James Harden, Jeremy Lin, Kyle Lowry, Brandon Jennings, Anthony Davis, Nic Batum, Anderson Varegao, Jrue Holiday, Kyrie Irving, Cousins.

Anyone else ?

Irving and Harden will

Irving and Harden will probably make and have the best chance while Jennings, Lowry, Monroe, and Cousins have a chance as well while the rest have NO chance unless for Jeremy Lin if he gets more votes than chris paul which would be a tragedy.

Guys like Varejao, Batum, Holiday Wont get the coaches vote so they got no chance and Even Davis has to beat out Love, Griffin, Aldridge maybe even Dirk and Gasol.

i like the list but i would

i like the list but i would disagree with varejao...yes he gets many rbs from hustling but noah is obviously more deserving plus he is playing for a winning team. i dont think jeremy lin will be in contention either...the all star race between guards is always a toss up with the elite guards and hes not elite yet.

People forget that Josh Smith

People forget that Josh Smith has never been an allstar. His numbers are down a little, but he is a complete player and should definitely make it this year. James Harden should definitely end up making it with the numbers he has. With Rose out that opens the door for Lowry and Irving. Lowry has missed a couple of games, but he was a monster in the ones he played in. Irving has been just as good and the only thing keeping both of them from for sures will be the teams records. Cousins is putting up great numbers this year and should average a double double with ease. If Mayo keeps his play up it will be hard to keep him out as well.

the problem with lowry is

the problem with lowry is that he cant stay healthy...the reckless abandon that he plays with makes it hard for him to stay on the court...he is crash#2...especially when the raptors are a team where their pg gets the most rbs lol. i think kyrie will be an allstar even though hes on a losing team...he has way too much talent to be skipped...what i am curious is the race between jj, jennings, holiday, ellis, kyrie and lowry who have to battle one another for a spot with dwade, dwill, rondo

with bynum out till january i stand by my initial prediction that joakim noah will be an allstar...that is if he will stay healthy

Marcin Gortat is quietly

Marcin Gortat is quietly establishing himself as top 5 center in this league. I think he should be an all-star this season, he's quietly leading the league in blocks.

If greivis vasquez keeps up

If greivis vasquez keeps up his solid play he may be voted as one since he is a Velenzuelan and im assuming a huge part of the Latin community will vote for him

I'm from the Latin community

I'm from the Latin community and prefer to vote for talent and production... for me, Harden, Smith, Cousins should make it, and if they can stay healthy, Gortat, Lowry, Irving, Monroe, Wall

Harden will surely be a lock,

Harden will surely be a lock, Mayo the way he is going could be in with a shout. LMA and Josh Smith deserve all star recognition surely now. A couple more names I'll throw in Gallinari from Denver, Evan Turner and Al Jefferson.

Joakim Noah might sneak in,

Joakim Noah might sneak in, he's killing it early. 15.3 ppg/9.4 rpg/3.3 apg/2.3 bpg/1.4 spg on 51/84

I suspect he'll keep it up due to the fact he's Chicago's emotional leader, and will continue to step up in Rose's absence.

Nikola Pekovic

His numbers do not do him justice, but he is a force in the paint, and demands double teams. I would argue that will be a top 5 center by the end of the year, and could make the squad off the coaches vote. I think he or Gortat should make it, Gortat has been playing great so far.

Lin has a shot to make if fromt he fan vote because of the demograph he appeals to. I hope he doesn't though, he isn't quite an all star as of right now.

Harden as of right now doesn't need an explenation. Just needs to keep getting wins.

AK47, not likely, but deserves recognition for his play. His numbers don't scream All Star, but he is respective in each category. And can still get the triple double any night. What he has done for the TWovles will not show up on the stat sheet.

Side note, Aldeman should coach the West, and Thib should couch the East.
