MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantHeres the first round picks for the playoffs based on regular season matchup scores , homecourt advantage and player matchups.
Ok here we go starting with the west:
(1)Spurs Vs (8)Memphis – This is a good match up for the Grizzlies if you look at the styles of play but ultimately the Spurs will pick them apart..their big three is way too determined…IMO Grizzlies win 2 games tops. Spurs 4-1
(2)Okc Vs (7)Mavs – Mavs vs Durant and Westbrook seems to be a mini-rivalry but how can you deny a healthy Durant the 1st round playing at the level hes been at? Okc 4-2
(3) Clippers Vs (6) Warriors – Oh what a match up. This one is more than likely going to game 6 or 7 depending on the play of Blake Griffin. I think hes stepping through the door of being able to carry the team in that second option role next to CP3 with that being said , Clippers 4-3.
(4) Rockets Vs (5) Portland – Based off of the matchups alone Portland is deeper but the Rockets have a heavy hitting starting line up and a fast paced team. Also Houston had no problem with the Blazers during the regular season only dropping one game out of four. Rockets 4-2
East coming SOON!

SteezGawdParticipantI got Clippers losing to Warriors. The Clippers have No Closer. For as good a PG (some say best others don’t) CP3 is he’s never been a person who if his team is down 5 with two minutes to go has not proven he can go go out and steal that game. This is the same CP3 who had never been out the 2nd round which somehow never comes up when his name is mentioned. And for as great as GRIFFIN has been this year he always seems to come up short in playoffs. (May change this year however we’ll see)
Stephen Curry however has quietly become one of the best Closers in the NBA this year. I also think Andre Iguodala is going to make CP3’s life a living hell and the fact that the Warriors have 3-4 legit big man is going to hurt the Clippers. Plus they run the break and shoot the three better than the Clippers and are confident that they can beat them and quietly have developed a bench as good if not better than the clippers.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI gotta disagree, Chris Paul is extremely clutch.

SteezGawdParticipantBut if you need a basket absolutely positively need a basket or you lose who are you choosing Curry or Chris?
If you say Chris you are crazy. 1. Andre Iguodala would be guarding him. If Curry was taking the shot more than likely Doc would keep Paul on him and Curry will eat him for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a 1 on 1 situation and I think Chris is a great defender (for a point guard) but he can’t stop Curry by himself there’s only a handful of people who can stay close to him 1 on 1. He’s too crafty, quick and has a super quick release to go along with the prettiest jumpshot in the NBA.

Lotto StudParticipantBefore Beverley went down the Rockets were my projected favorites contending for the West.

King CaluchaParticipantI agree. He may not be much of a threat offensively, but bothering the opposing PG has become really important in the NBA. Not letting Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Lillard and others do their game makes a lot of difference.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Rockets will have their hands full with the Blazers regardless, but IF Dwight’s ankle isn’t right… I think the Blazers will win that series.

Andrew1984ParticipantI will be rooting for the following, though I acknowledge it is not likely:
First-round winners: San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Golden State, Houston.
I’ll take Houston over San Antonio and Golden State over OKC in round two.
Houston-Golden State WCF.
