blackflash234ParticipantThe Day That Hassan Whiteside falls to the Raptors in the draft, every Raptor fan will rejoice and that will mean the end to the era of the Bosh and Bargnani tandem. Whiteside is exactly what Raptors need. A guy that will rebound for you and block shots.

wesleymatthews23ParticipantCould not agree more blackflash. Toronto fans will love whiteside. Now all they need is a better coach.
Couple things though
Aldrich too high, Way too high. No way he’s going 6th. Yes Philly needs a center, but they don’t Dalembert. Aldrich is another Dalembert as is Whiteside. They want a more mobile Center. Cousins won’t be around by 6th pick so they could go Monroe, but play him at the 4. Brand is getting old, and Speights is a little small to replace him. They might want a bigger guy replacing Brand. Or who knows they might just play both Monroe and Speights at the same time.Donatus would never end up in Utah. He is all offense, no defense. That does not = Utah. Utah wants tough defending playing that fit their system. They might go for Johnson, Aminu, Aldrich, Vesely, Patterson. All those players would be better fits in Utah. And actually I doubt Booz will leave. The talks got pretty positive back in Feb-March. He very well could resign with Utah and stay for a lot less.
Henry won’t fall to 14. Way to low, I’m thinking more 10-12 range. Besides Houston does not need a 2. They have Kevin Martin, and they have a young 3 in Trevor Ariza. Why break that up? Battier does not even start for the Rockets. They need a Center to replace Yao when he gets hurt. Aldrich, Whiteside, Cousins might not be around by pick 14, so they might opt for a smaller but more active PF in Ekpe Udoh or they might decide to just deal with the range that Yao has, and try Montie. Montie and Udoh are two players the Rockets will decide heavily between. Henry is not even on their draft board.
The rest looks good.

HROT88ParticipantSpeights and Monroe would be a sick frontcourt if they were actually given decent minutes to develop together.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantbut i worry that neither could play the five.Them rotating At the four would be perfect but they almost cancel each other on the court together. Too much offense between them both..I see Monroe as a skilled four and the same goes for Marresse. Greg is a lot like a less aggressive C.Webb or a less crazy Rasheed Wallace…if he can improve range. He’s got alot of skill for that size. and that’s big in the league. Marresse is seen a s a poor mans Amare. But i see him as a Lamarcus Aldrige or young Joe Smith.
Either way i think he’d be money as the 3rd big in the rotation..After you start anyone but Brand(needs to be a vet and lead from the bench..highest paid rotation guy ever but it will improve this team…) I realy hope we draft one of the skilled bigs if we feel he can start in the near future…My big man big board for Philly goesCousins- Best Big in the Draft. He might be there due to attitude issues and conditioning concerns. But we need a new starting center after this year and Cousins could make the biggest impact at that spot for some team brave enough to pick him up. some of the teams before us need bigs but he could scare them away. I see to much of the DC/C Webb/Rasheed thread happening here but all of those guys were top tier talent that we wouyld have loved to have in their prime’s minus the character flaws.
Favors – Apparently Brand is not the answer at the PF spot and Favors gets a lot of Amare uber athlete comparisions. If he’s there at 6 we might have to take the risk…form what I remember Amare fell somewhere in that 5-10 area of that years draft. Still ahve a lot of questions about him though.
Monroe – Could be a rotation guy for years..has the skill set of a guard at the four spot.
Aminu -Is a Power forward in the mold Of Lamar Odom or Kevin Garnett…Loves the mid range jumper. He’s 6’10 could be 7’0 be the time he stops growing and has athletic ability of a Josh Smith with the size and length of a Bosh or Garnett( all love that jump shot) He’s the dark horse and I said it first. Minnesota would take him top three if they missed out on Wall or Turner. He’d play the 3/4 slide Brewer too guard and get Love or Jefferson trade when they see his potential at the four.
Whiteside -Could be the next Camby man…Gotta take a look at a guy with that potential. Could also JaVale McGee or any other athletic Big form small school. I’d love him with a second pick in or close to the lottery. 10-20 range.Stay as far away from Aldrich and the euro guys…can anybody say Hansborough and every euro big not named Dirk or Pau(( A Dirk or Pau type would be big for this team but I dont see that in this draft…

DaleoParticipantEveryone is forgetting on when Thaddeous Young played last year and started at the four, that worked well for them. I think they need to get rid of Brand & Dalemberg and get Monroe. He would be perfect for that, have Monroe, Young, Igudola, Lou Williams and Jrue Holiday
