OllstarParticipantSomehow two of the most storied franchises end up with the top 2 picks in the same draft. Every year, it seems the NBA draft lotto balls always seem to land in the most dramatic way possible. If you believe the NBA has anything to do with the draft lottery than you would assume the Celtics and Lakers keep their two picks and give the league a story to talk about for the next decade. Trading one of the top 2 picks in any draft is unlikely so to go a little more out on a limb here, Fultz and Ball go 1 and 2 because they are the most marketable players and the NBA can sell their rivalry easiest.
Most mocks will have those guys top 2, so even that isn’t really a bold statement but I believe these guys still go 1 and 2 and maybe that’s a little to do with the conspiracy theorist in me.
TLDR: I absolutely don’t see either team moving their pick and I think Fultz and Ball go first.
But for me the top 2 picks could be surpassed by in terms of career success. I’m super high on Fox as an NBA guard. He has the quickness and played for a coach who makes a lot of great nba point guards. I also don’t knock him too much for his poor shooting year. He could be a more athletic version of Mike Conley which is scary. To me Tatum is another guy who has an elite skill and that is scoring. I feel like the weaknesses in his game can be hidden by what ever team lands him. My gut really tells me these two end up the top two of the class.
TLDR:Fox then Tatum end up the best of the class.
Are we mostly in agreeance with Fultz and Ball at 1 and 2? How about best careers of this class?

losnopesosParticipantI like Fox in the NBA more than Monk. Fox is smart, is super fast, and plays good D. He’ll need to beef up, but once he gets in the NBA and the shoot him full of HGH that shouldn’t be too hard.

MatosParticipantIf Fox develops a jumpshot then the league better watch out. Jackson will be the best player out of this draft and an all-star for years to come.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantIf no trades happen as that would effect who is most likely going where
1: Is either Futlz or Jackson. Ball is not likely to get picked here.
2: Is either Futlz,Jackson or Ball
However if trades happen
Supposed rumors so far: Lakers and suns swapping picks:
2 for 4th and future pick. Suns would probably take either Jackson or Lonzo as they make the most sense there.
Lakers D angello+ 28th for the 3rd pick this would alter who goes 2nd and who goes 3rd which could mean anyone of top 3 could end up but it all hinges on who goes 1st to this order.
Kings trading 5th(to draft Smith or Taytum) and 10th for 2nd to draft one of Jackson,Ball or Fox.
Lakers trading second for another star.. Which could mean that team could want whoever they define as best available- After who ever goes first..
So to be fair I see top 2 being very fluid right now..
