Finally some news on OJ Mayo!
Who AREN'T the Wolves trying to acquire? I see the T Wolves coming up in alot of free agency talk for alot of different players, didn't the Wolves just sign Brandon Roy to a 2 year deal? Plus isn't Mayo looking for a long term deal???
They're in "win now" mode. Basically because Love is talking about leaving they're rushing to put pieces around him, even if that means over paying. Kinda like what Danny Ferry did with Lebron in Cleveland.
That's simply because Dwight can leave without the Magic receiving anything in return next off-season. Kevin Love would still have to play for them for another 3 years to have that type of impact.
Mayo's ppl may be talking to the T Wolves but he's scheduled for a visit with the Suns tomorrow. Most likely to sign with them if the Hornets match the Eric Gordon deal.

Yeah my money is on the Suns getting OJ Mayo at this point.
I'm pretty surprised the Bulls aren't looking at him. They badly need players who can create their own shot other than Derrick Rose. This might be a tough year for the Bulls with Rose out.
^ agree. this is purely speculation. funny how a week ago, Minnesota was said to be not interested in Mayo at all because he doesnt fit into their team style and chemistry. could be something to it because this comes on the heals of Love saying he was impatient.
If Gordon gets matched offer, and all indications are that he will be, Mayo is the Suns plan B.
I'd be totally down with OJ signing with minnesota. A starting line up of Rubio, Mayo, Williams/Batum, Love, and Pek would be a great up and coming team out West. The one thing I'm still not sure about is what to do with Derrick Williams. Yes, he has a fair amount of talent but the more I watched him play last year the more I realized that he is a POWER forward and not a SMALL forward. Anyways, OJ would add a complete basketball player who is capable of playing both guard positions for the Wolves. I still believe OJ has loads of potenital and could end up being a smaller Joe Johnson type of player. And having Brandon Roy back him up would be interesting to watch no doubt

Wouldn't that be funny? They traded Roy for Foye one draft, and Mayo for Love another. This signing (if the Wolves want to do it) would bring the best players all back to MN. Looks good for Minnesota...
... But how does this signing look to OJ Mayo? With so little interest from other teams, is this a place he would consider signing with? He would have a great shot at being a starter day one and can take over PG duties part time until Rubio gets back. And when Rubio does get back, although his role would diminish some, he could still put up an easy 15 ppg simply from open looks. What do you guys think?
