M-EazyParticipantAnyone know when the roster will be announced?
Also what big names might play? I keep seeing Rose’s name on every roster prediction and that was surpsing.

mikeyvthedonParticipantThey do not have exact dates for their training camp right now, though here is their schedule before the World Cup:

Seems like they start training at the end of the month, probably have that televised intrasquad game on August 1. Here is the roster as of right now:

Not sure what plans LeBron and Melo have at this point, though am guessing most people listed will probably be down to play. PG is absolutely stacked, with Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Deron Williams and Russell Westbrook. If I were to make a guess of how it might look:
PG Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Derrick Rose (Guessing Chris Paul, Deron Williams skip out)
SG James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry
SF Kevin Durant, Paul George (LeBron and Melo skip out)
PF Kevin Love, Blake Griffin
C LaMarcus Aldridge, Anthony Davis (I know neither of them are "true" centers, and Boogie Cousins/Andre Drummond both are enticing as well. Tyson Chandler of course has experience. Guessing Dwight Howard skips out, though I do not have inside info, just a guess)
Here is the event website:

Still 53 more days, so they have a lot of time before they have to cut it to 12. These things tend to take a while. Hell, FIBA Europe U20’s start tomorrow and they still did not have official rosters listed this morning (they do now, finally, lol). My guess is by early August, we should have a general idea of who is going to be playing for Team USA from August 30-September 14.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantNot sure Deron should be considered for anything other than a sling and an ankle brace. Hopefully they use a bunch of different guys than the guys on the Olympic team like they did in 2010

SmooveKRYPTParticipantWestbrook just backed out.
They have training camp in Vegas the 28th-31st of this month, then intrasquad game Aug 1st. 2 weeks later they move to Chicago for more practice and a scrimmage game with Brazil (I would assume they’d have the final 12 picked by then. Then NY in late August before they take off for Spain.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI like Kawhi Leonard as an intangibles guy in the Iggy mold. He can shoot, defend, and rebound and also play some stretch four for a team that looks stacked at point guard but not as much on the wing if LeBron and Carmelo don’t play.
I might at least bring Kawhi Leonard as an alternate. We could use him in 2016 and beyond.
Klay Thompson and Andre Drummond look like two of the last cuts…
Hopefully the best 12 guys make the team.
if Team USA went small I just think that a front line of Kawhi, Durant, and Anthony Davis would be awesome.

Mr. HookShotParticipantGenerally USA goes small, considering that fits international play better. Aldridge, Davis, Love, and Bosh can all play the C position easily at the FIBA world cup.
