just looking over the fee agency transactions so far. Here are some of my thoughts:

Not much changing the NBA landscape so far. Most of the top free agents(kawhi leonard, goran dragic, paul milsap, kevin love, jimmy butler, danny green, brook lopez, draymond green, brandon knight, luol deng, jae crowder, thadeus young, kris middelton, tristan thompson) have all decided to stay put and we can safely assume lebron, duncan, marc gasol, and wade wont go anywhere either.

The only real home run guys out there still available are lamarcus aldridge and deandre jordan. Even with deandre, hes probaby being a little overrated with reports out that he no longer wants to be a third option. Good luck to any team that actually wants to throw him the ball. And enjoy the ft fests each and every night that opposing teams will put you through until his coach is forced to bench him. Im not saying he isnt worth the max in todays market, but he really is not a a top 2 player on any team with hopes of winning a ring.

The top players that have moved so far include tyson chandler joining the suns. greg monroe joining the bucks, demarre carroll joing the raptors, monta ellis joining the pacers, arron afflalo joining the knicks, and paul pierce joining the clippers. All of these are really solid pick ups. But again, i dont see any of these moves drastically altering any of these teams identity for next season. monroe is going to give the bucks an inside weapon to help the wings get better opportunities, chandler and monta ellis might be enough to push their teams back into the playoffs and the raptors are going to love having carroll step up and gaurd the other teams best wing every night and take that pressure off demar derozan.

Im not trying to sound negative and ownplay what any of these teams did, just dont see any homeruns or drastic things that alter the leagues ladscape next year(until aldridge and jordan decide on things). The best of the rest of the guys available still are probably rondo, tobias harris and wes mathews.

Also what is up with some of these contracts? Arron Baynes is a 10th-12th man even on bad teams, over 6 mill per? Aminu with close to 8 mill per? I realize how important it was for the cavs to keep thompson and the warriors to keep green, but 16-17 million per season for those guys? Luckily both teams are so stacked those contracts will not get picked apart since those teams will be competeing for titles year after year, but still to think that last season people gave the jazz crap for giving hayward his deal or the lakers crap for paying jordan hill 9 million, at this rate those guys might deserve raises.

A lot of this is in preparation of the increased tax money that will almost double in 2 years so a lot of these contract will make more sense then.  Another thing is Monroe going to the Bucks is huge. The other moves are solid but like you said nothing big but I guarantee that Monroe going to Bucks could push them to be a top 3 team in the East.  They are long and now they have a legit offensive minded Center and Kidd has been awesome as coach.

Aminu got overpayed because a least with some of the other guys they are solid starters who can score and defend at a high rate.  Aminu is a good rebounder and a guys that can guard multiple position but does not score much.  He also looks awkward a lot when he is on the court.

Monroe has average 20 and 10 one year.  Detroit as a whole sucked so you can’t blame one player

Baynes, Aminu and some others may be overpaid but for Tristan Thompson is Xmas time in July. 16 mil per year, wow, yeah I know about the increasing cap space and am familiar that he is top 3 offensive rebounder in the league and I actually like him as a player but STILL he is arguably the 4th best player on his team and with healthy Love he is 8/8/1/1/1 guy. In comparison, Nik Vucevic (a 20/11 player) resigned like an year ago for little over 13 mil/year. DWade was set to take 16 mil next year before he opted out, hell probably even Jordan was making less money for the most of his career ( in the 80s at least), lol. Joke aside, Imo, TT is by far the most overpayed FA so far and I hardly believe its bc of the cap rising if so why solid starters on playoff teams like Monta and Danny Green got 11 m/y  or even  less ?

Like Jalen Rose and many other people have said. It is not about getting what you deserve but getting what you can negotiate.  This is how business works.  Also by what standard are they getting overpaid.  Lebron have given them leverage and just by coming back, he has help this city make hundreds of millions of dollars so that has to be taken in consideration.
