Fantasy trade that would make T-wolves title contender possibly
Marcus Thornton – Pick originally owned by the Indiana Pacers
Over the last couple of seasons the Indiana Pacers have been searching for a guard who can create his own shots and provide instant offense off of the bench. Unfortunately for them, they owned a pick that turned into Marcus Thornton, who fits that description perfectly. In 2007 they traded the 2009 second rounder that eventually became Thornton to the HEAT for the draft rights to Stanko Barac, who never played in the NBA.
The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that the team will take precautionary measures with center Andrew Bynum and will withhold him from basketball activities for the next three weeks in order to maximize the therapeutic effects of the Orthokine therapy he received earlier this month.
OK, now for the bad news. Irving shot just 2-for-15. Last year, he struggled mightily against Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich (then with the Hawks). That continued Friday. Hinrich (14 points, eight assists, four rebounds) blocked Irvings shot twice, stripped the ball from Irving twice, and just generally stayed in front of him. Its nothing to be cry about, though. Hinrichs one of the leagues best backcourt defenders.
It also should be noted that Friday's first half didn't offer a steady diet of Corner alignments. Several half-court possessions featured an overload that included a baseline or "flex" screen designed to create an open lay-up or post up for the cutter.
Parker also expressed frustration that Bryant refused to talk to him during his two-year stint with the Lakers. "He tells me I need more accolades under my belt before I come talk to him," Parker said. "He was dead serious." Parker said the frustration wore on him so much that he refused to pass to Bryant.
Morris, looking very much like a player who put in work during the off-season, led the Suns with 14 points. Markieff also collected four quick fouls in the first half, looking very much like the player from last season on the defensive end.
On the court, Curry played in just 10 games for the Knicks between 2008 and 2011 before catching on with the Miami HEAT this past season. Curry played in the final 14 regular season contests (including one start) for the eventual champion HEAT, but was left off of the playoff roster.
New to this site and thought i would post an intersting trade idea that would work for everyone but wont happen. This is a three way trade that would involve the T-wolves, Magic, and the Kings.
T-wolves trade- Derrick Williams, Brad Miller, Wesley Johnson, Nikola Pekovic, and Martell Webster.
Magic Trade- Dwight Howard, Ryan Anderson, and Jason Richardson
Kings Trade- Demarcus Cousins.
T-wolves get- Dwight Howard and Jason Richardson
Magic get- Derrick Williams, DeMarcus Cousins, Brad Miller, Nikola Pekovic, and Martell Webster
Kings get- Wesley Johnson, and Ryan Anderson,
I worked all the numbers on this and it works with the current salary cap. I feel that everyone is getting something that they need. I dont see this happing because Dwight would never sign a long term deal in minny which means they would be giving up to much but if Dwight would sing long term it would make them a contender.
New starting lineups would look something like this
T-Wolves PG- Ricky Rubio SG- J-Rich SF-Micheal Beasley PF- Kevin Love C- Dwight Howard
Magic PG Jameer Nelson SG- JJ Redick SF- Hedo Turkoglu PF- Derrick Williams C- Demarcus Cousins
Kings PG- Tyreke Evans SG- Marcus Thornton SF- Wesley Johnson PF- JJ Hickson C- Jason Thompson.
Let me know what you think. Like I said will never happen but interesting to think about since the numbers work and I feel eveyone makes out all right with this trade.
