With Ariza making his exit from Houston this offseason Chase Budinger should get an oppurtunity for increased minutes. With Battier turning 32 and in 10th year of a rugged career, and Courtney Lee as the player Houston got back in return for Ariza, plenty of time should be available for Chase.

Chases pro’s are his great percentages, 3-pointers, and rebounding. I expect 24 to 30-minutes per game througout the year for Budinger in his current position. Chase should consistantly average 10-12-points, 4-6-rebound and 1-2-3pts per game. Although this is not what excites me about Budinger.

Kevin Martin is expected to be Houstons most potent scorer next year and currently also plays the wing position. He is a player who has missed alot of time due to injury. In the last 3 years he has missed an average of 29 games per year playing in 158 out of 246 games. K-Mart averages 15-shots per game and when he gets injured expect Budingers value to skyrocket.

Budinger is a great player to keep as one of your reserves while waiting for Martin and/or Battier to expectedly get an injury.

I’ve been a fan of Chase since watching him in high school..alot of teams are regreting not picking him..but he has to improve his ball handling and drive to the basket more..then he will become a fulltime starter..

budinger should not be on any team in a 10 team league… maybe for around 15-20 team leagues… but hes not even relevant as a waiver guy..
