BallerScriptParticipantEveryone has a guy in the draft each year that they want there team to draft. How many of you have sat in front of your t.v crossing you fingers and then been dissapointed or suprised by your teams pick.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantWanted the raps to pick Drummond! I wanted him to go second, too. Was even then BPA, and worry about spacing issues later on.

BleedGreen808ParticipantI wanted Boston to take Giannis in 2013 when we traded up from 16 to 13 except we took Olynyk. Giannis was the guy I wanted leading up to the draft and we had a chance to get him at 13.

ExumInfernoParticipantIt seems like 90% of the time I am missing out on the player, or players, I would select.
But every year I still sit there for five hours and watch the draft and hope great players will be picked.
It is not the disappointment or surprise, it is usually the confusion. Why would a team with four point guards and no center draft another point guard, why would a team with four draft picks select four prospects the same size and position as each other, things like that make for some strange drafts.
Not for my team, but the Drummond draft I had him as a great prospect too and couldn’t believe everyone letting him pass by. Players falling, going much earlier than expected, it does make the drafts fun to watch.

kazamParticipantThis year I had hoped the Raps would target Bobby Portis but instead went with Delon Wright.
In 2014 when the Raptors selected Bruno, I had been hoping they would give a long look at either Nurkic (ended up being chosen before their pick), Rodney Hood, or Nikola Jokic.

nick5354ParticipantI remember wanting Cavs to draft Drummond in ’12, I had him no2 behind Davis as the best player in the draft all year long (admit I had him before Davis in HS) and when they went with Waiters I literally stood Up in science class and yelled. Biggest fan struggle for me.

ZouldiersParticipantI remember the Heat drafting Moultrie instead of Perry Jones III in the 2012 draft. I was so pissed because I wanted them to draft Jones plus he can space the floor for the Heat which could have been good. So much for that I guess.

Memphisboy14ParticipantI remember being mad as hell at the Memphis Grizzlies when they took Hasheem Thabeet over James Harden in the 2009 draft with the 2nd pick. Everyone and their mom knew that Thabeet was gonna suck in the NBA. I thought James Harden would be good but I had no clue he’d be this good.
Also when Memphis didn’t get Paul George in the 2010 draft. Indiana took him 10th and we had the 12th pick. I knew PG would turn out to be a great player. Really upset we missed out on him too.

ZachAttackParticipantI was pissed that Myles Turner went right before the Jazz. I thought he would have been a GREAT backup to Rudy. A guy who could space the floor and a great shot blocker. He was Rudy with a jump shot. Then the Pacers picked him and I’m like NOOOO!!!!!!.
But, I’m happy for him still. In Indiana he’ll get the starting role whereas in Utah he’d have to be a back up. So overall, I’m happy for him. I’m just selfish in wanting the Jazz to get him.

RUDEBOY_Participantthe first time i wanted a team to select a player was yrs ago… when i was a kid and got upset when the knicks passed over drexler for darrell walker…i saw both guys play in college against each other and drexler was the superior player…and history has proven that…
the most recent time was memphis passing over rodney hood for jordan adams..i think hood is on the verge of becoming a star….

Arc12345ParticipantPassing on CP3 is something I don’t think we’ll ever recover from. He would’ve been the greatest hawk ever (yes even better than Dominque). I begged for them to take him. We needed a pg, we had too many wings. It was too easy a pick to make.
Yet…we took another wing. And not just any wing. We took a wing that didn’t even start and was 6th man at UNC. Marvin Williams. I can’t talk about it too much…my blood pressure can’t take it.
This is why I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with Teague and it’s not his fault. But he’s not an ELITE PG in my opinion. Just…good.

Snatalini247ParticipantI really wanted them to get the first overall pick a few years back to get nerlens noel when he was still the top rated player, some how he still fell to us and I wouldve went nuts but it was bitter sweet trading Jrue Holiday, still chalk that up as a win, however 2014/2015 were horrible, wanted exum in 2014, then Mudiay in 2015, and they drafted damn centers two years in a row. I like the BPA theory but it’s starting to get a little painful. I’m sure I’ll hope for Jaylen Brown/Ben Simmons all year just to see them take Damian James or Skal. *UGH* For once I’d like to see them take a player that hey would maybe drop two spots further down but at least fits a positional need…
