    Round 1 (West):

    •  Grizzlies  beat Spurs beat (6 Games)  (Grizz tanked to see Spurs for a reason)
    • Thunder beat Nuggets (6 Games)     (OKC have been rolling and have two go to guys late in games)
    • Trailblazers beat Mavericks (6 Games) (Blazers are too deep and too athletic)
    • Lakers beat Hornets (4 Games) (Hornets have no answer for Lakers even without Bynum; this was a perfect first round opponent for Lakers)

    Round 1 (East):

    • Bulls beat Pacers (4 Games) ( Pacers should give Bulls zero resistence)
    • Magic beat Hawks (6 Games)( Orlando is better build for the playoffs then Hawks because of Howard)
    • Celtics beat Knicks (7 Games)( This will be a fun series but New York lacks the chemistry to beat them or do they)
    • Heat beat 76ers (5 Games)(Philly plays scrappy enough to get one win but this should be a sweep if Heat are focused)

    Round 2 (West):

    • Thunder beat Grizz (6 Games)(this will be a fun match up but maybe if Grizz had Gay healthy but without him, this will be tough unless Tony Allen is better than we all realized)
    • Lakers beat Trailblazers (6 Games)(the games slows down in the playoff so Wallace and his speed will be a pain but nothing great)

    Round 2 (East):

    • Bulls beat Orl (7 Games)(This should be tough but Bulls are hottest team right now so this is the best Orl can do)
    • Heat beat Celtics (6 Games)(Celtics gave up this season after Perkins trade and Heat should finish them off)

    Conference Finals (West):

    • Lakers beat Thunder (6 Games)( a rematch but Lakers in the playoffs is a whole new animal)

    Conference Finals (East)

    • Bulls beat Heat (7 Games) Heat will be hurting from Boozer and Noah inside and Rose on the outside)

    NBA Finals

    • Lakers beat Bulls (6 Games)(Bulls are great team that does not match up with Lakers but could win it all if Lakers does not reach this Finals)

when the Celtics traded away Kendrick Perkins, I’m pretty sure everyone in the East can breathe a sigh of relief… I’m not saying the Celtics can’t win but they’re going to have a tougher time getting through Miami and Chicago…

    Round 1 (West):

    • Spurs beat Grizzlies (6 Games): Spurs win in 5 if Ginobili can return in time.
    • Thunder beat Nuggets (6 Games): This will definitely be an exciting series.
    • Mavericks beat Blazers (6 Games): This will be a close series too, both teams have depth, but the Mavs have more playoff experience.
    • Lakers beat Hornets (4 Games): Lakers will be taking care of business, drawing the Hornets was big, easiest first round opponent to play.

    Round 1 (East):

    • Bulls beat Pacers (5 Games): Bulls will dominate, but I can see the Pacers sneaking one out in Indy.
    • Magic beat Hawks (6 Games): Should be a great series.
    • Celtics beat Knicks (7 Games): Knicks could pull this out.  C’s aren’t at the top of their game right now and the Knicks finished pretty strong.
    • Heat beat 76ers (4 Games): I don’t care that LeBron called the 76ers the "Nuggets of the East." The Heat will be ready and will shut the 76ers down.

    Round 2 (West):

    • Thunder beat Spurs (6 Games): Perkins will prove to be huge for them if they can matchup with the Spurs.
    • Lakers beat Mavericks (5 Games): Mavs will disappoint like always.  Lakers will be in full stride by second round. 3 peat on the way.

    Round 2 (East):

    • Bulls beat Magic (6 Games): Rose will dominate Nelson easily. If the Bulls’ bench plays well all series this could be over in 5.
    • Heat beat Celtics (6 Games): Earlier in the year I would have picked the C’s, but these are two different teams since then.  The Heat have seemed to have found their identity, whereas the C’s traded their’s away.

    Conference Finals (West):

    • Lakers beat Thunder (6 Games)

    Conference Finals (East)

    • Bulls beat Celtics (6 Games)

    NBA Finals

    • Lakers beat Bulls (7 Games)

I dont see why so many of you guys think the knicks can hang with the celts? I really dont see the knicks standing a slight chance to win the series.. i don’t even see them forcing a sixth game really.

just my opinion though, should be an unreal playoffs.. i hope the sixers give the heat a little run, iggy on lebron should be fun to watch

To check out how who i think will win each series go to my blog at http://nbaballinstuff.blogspot.com . I put an article on my eastern playoff matchup and just a while ago put my western playoff matchup.  I encourage any of you to go there and leave a comment on there.  I love to know what people think whether you agree or you think I’m wack.

    I’ll put in my EC first round picks for now;

    Bulls over Pacers 4-1

    Miami over Sixers 4-3

    Celtics over Knicks 4-1

    Orlando over Hawks 4-1

Instead of clogging up the thread with an essay on why I’ll just link you to my blog where I’ve given the reasoning for these numbers/results.

    http://itsahardwoodlife.blogspot.com/2011/04/eastern-conference-previewspredictions.html

I’ll post Western Conference in a few days when I get the chance to write it out.

Someone should organize something from Yahoo, ESPN, or NBA.com for us to put our playoff picks in one of those fantasy games.
