Evan Turner looking good tonight Vs. the Mavericks
I hope so, he's shown flashes his entire career but consistency has always been the issue and now that he's getting the minutes he's got a chance to be the man. Holiday playing so well this year has helped take pressure of him as well.
But he's got 5 TO's tonight and they're only half way through the 4th Quater...
I think Iggy and Lou Williams held Jrue and Evan back the last 2 seasons...Although they may not have been ready then they should have been given the keys to the Franchise a long time ago...
Jrue and Evan look like a solid backcourt(Evan has to lose some weight to gain quickness though)
Collins took him out at the end of the 3rd Qt. and didn't put him back in until the 4 minute mark...Still a very good showing from E.T who has scored 20 or more points in 2 of the last 3 games...
Everyone said he sucked after his underwhelming first year, but I still had confidence he would turn out good. Interesting fact I heard during the game that only 3 other players besides Turner average 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, I think it was LeBron, Durant, and surprisingly Joakim Noah.
I don't know what to make of it Though...Being put in the same sentence as Lebron and KD is extremly flattering BUT he's still only Averaging a little over 12 points SO I'll hold off on some of my exitment until he's over 15ppg...
Still nice to see a Guy that was being labeled a Bust because he didn't break out Year 1 or 2 get his confidence back...
If he ends up averaging 15ppg, 7rpg and 4apg I'll be very happy...He and Jrue have a very bright future IMO...
Turner outplayed Mayo all night which was interesting. Turner is one of the most unique players in the league as him and Collins system makes it almost impossible to gauge his true value. Evan is at his best with the ball in his hands always making the right basketball play he's a winner and is becoming a great defender. You can't judge Turner by his numbers which would be extremely gaudy on a team that let him run point. Like if ET played for the Hornets he'd probably avg 17, 7, n 7.
Jrue and Evan look like a solid backcourt(Evan has to lose some weight to gain quickness though)

20 points through 3 quarters...He's finally starting to play very well in his 3rd season...He's stringing together some good games after starting the seaon off very slow...What do you guys think, is he turning the corner so to speak???
