Those 2 have so far in thier first summer league game have sort of dissapointed me. Speights is 1 of 11 from the floor and turner is 2 of 5. He really needs to get his attempts up if he wants to be a big time scorer. The bright side is that turner has 8 boards and is 8 of 8 from the stripe. I do belive they both have oppurtunities to be all- stars but they truly did not show it in thier first game.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Turner’s ability to score, hes the type of player that can dominate a game by doing other things (Rebounding and Play making Assist), kinda like Jason Kidd, except hes a SG.

So dont expect Turner as a big time scorer his rookie year, I can see his stats going something like 12PPG 5 RPG 4APG his rookie year.

Fouls and a few plays that didn’t go his way had him frustrated, but I liked what I saw from Turner.

He’s adjusting to playing without the ball and the speed of the game. He’s going to be fine.

Turner actually was very aggressive this game, sometimes he forced the action too much. Overaggression led to TO’s, but it also led to him getting to the line a good bit. He struggled, but he did just fine I’d say. He has some nice potential in the mid-range game and in pick and roll situations.

Speights will never be the All-Star he could be. He has no clue how athletic and physically gifted he is. The man settles for wayyyy too many jumpers, even when he has a mismatch on his matchup. He has talent, but I doubt he ever becomes what he’s capable of being.

Ya speight is a freakish athlete especially at 6 foot 10 but he is kinda soft. He stays out the paint and takes way to many jumpers. Also anyone who can jump that high should be gettin some blocks on the box.
