Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala
Why would the Sixers draft Evan Turner when they have Iguodala and Thaddeus Young already? Why not grab a Demarcus Cousins since Dalembert isnt getting any better or younger? The Sixers arent gonna resign him so why not grab his replacement now?
That's what I've been saying, I agree + Evan Turner is a good fit for NJ, Courtney Lee isn't as good as he should've been
Or trade the pick to Minnesota (who seems to really like Turner) for the number 4 pick as well as an additional first rounder or to get rid of a bad contract.
If they think that Turner is clearly the number 2 pick in this draft they should draft him. They could go small and start Young at power forward, or they could use him off the bench as a sixth man, or they could trade Iguodala . With how awful there team was last year, they need to pick the best player available no matter how he fits there team.
It's going to come down to whether their scouts feel that Turner has the franchise player potential or not. If they say no then I think 2 for 4 + 16 is going down. Look out for the Kings thou to maybe leap frog up to 3 if that happens...
I feel Iguodala and Turner can play together, even though they have the same exact type of skill sets. Iguodala is easily unselfish enough to play with him and it be effective. I do know that it's possible for Iguodala to get traded, but I think that Turner and Iguodala would form one of the better perimeter tandems in the NBA, and they both have the playmaking skills to alleviate Jrue Holiday's good, but not great playmaking ability. All 3 can defend, but if Iguodala defends like he did last year, they could have some serious ill effects.
They should trade down with Minny and take Favors or Cousins. The other options are to dangle the #2 for a pick in the 4-10 range in order to dump Brand or to trade Iggy for some picks/young talent.
Seriously, what are they gonna do with him?
Him & Lou Will on the 2nd team.. that's a lot of gunnin.
I would not be surprised if they went and drafted Cousins.
If Philly trades anybody, Thaddeus Young should be the 1st sacrificial lamb. He has no true position offensively (which makes him better as a reserve) even though he does find ways to score, he isn't a good defender, and he's a mediocre rebounder. He should be the 1st person that should be dealt on the 76ers.
