Did anyone see this special about the phony charities. The one with Lamar Odom was crazy, he was asked, ” what does your charity do” uh uh uh ” we give back to the community”. This is out and out thievery

If you are feeling generous, give DIRECTLY to a person in need or only give to organizations where you know the people PERSONALLY who run it.

I mean…the man has to feed his wife somehow…you think a NBA contract is gonna cover that?

As a Dallas Mavericks fan, I didn’t think there would be anything to make me dislike Odom any more than I already do. I was wrong, what a bum.

correct me if i’m wrong: But don’t pro athletes get tax breaks from the government if they host charities?

It’s not just athletes. Anyone who creates a non-profit, and files for tax-exempt status (which is kinda rigorous), can qualify for charitable tax breaks.

Thanks man: Yeah if i had the money like some of these pro’s had i would definitely give back to the community. It sickens me that some of these athletes would extort money in the name of charity

Honestly, I was most disgusted with A-Rod’s. The dude is making like $30 mil a year, and he still can’t give anything back? What an @$$-goblin.

As for Lamar, those rich AAU teams needed their new KD’s every game, and dammit, Lamar was gonna give them to ’em! Lol
