 Just heard the Wizards and Ted Leonis plan on extending the contract of GM Ernie Grunfeld…im actually really mad right now, any thoughts on this insane decision???

Who else were they considering? Danny Ferry?

May be cheaper to keep Grunfield around instead of going with Ferry.

 

Wizards will have another high draft pick and Rashard Lewis will be coming off the books in 13/14 or amnestied next year, so eventually Ernie will have solid cap room to work with and by 13/14, maybe these young guys will start gelling. 

I really hope they get the first pick and get Davis. That would be HUGE for them.

Ernie’s entire time in DC has been spent cleaning up MJ’s mess, making his own mess, and then cleaning up his own mess. Ted Leonsis has probably just decided to give him one last chance by giving him this one year deal. I’d rather him be gone and I just read a report that said he didn’t even bother to interview for replacements. Sad day for Wizards fans but I honestly don’t believe he could fuck up this upcoming draft or will make a huge trade next year. If he makes more dumb decisions next season and/or we don’t progress and get some more wins then he’s gotta go. His Win-Lose as the GM is horrible

 Danny Ferry is not the only candidate….

Kevin Pritchard would be good, anyone from the Spurs organization obviously…there are other candidates…Jordo said it best, all he’s done is clean up his own mess! He has messed up nearly every draft, and then traded the ONLY 2 picks he got SEMI-RIGHT (besides Wall but he gets no credit for that) for Nene and his HUGE contract…im not totally against that trade but this last draft really just proved to me Ernie has to go…with 2 picks in the 1st round, and we end up with Jan Vesely and Singleton…while i dont mind Singleton, hes not worth passing on guys like Kawhi Leonard, Brandon Knight, Iman Shumpert, Kenneth Faried, Marshon Brooks…im done with Ernie…if he messes up this pick,  which seems to be impossible, i cant support the new ownership and will not be going to ANY games or buying ANY merch next year…

buy out Rashard, amnesty Blatche, hit on this pick, sign a free-agent, make a trade…c’mon son

 C’mon, they traded away too awful boneheads that only thought about themselves and got a good team player in Nene.

I think the Wizards are headed in the right direction, the ony bad bonehead character left is Blatche, but I bet they’ll amnesty him.

They are now  playing defense and hustling and playing nothing like they did at the start of the season, I believe that the Wizards are headed in the right direction. 

I think Vesely and Singleton were good picks and will end up being very good players for them.
