What’s been up with him lately? I know he came back from a little injury not too long ago, but I don’t get his minutes and production at times, He hit Phoenix with 17pts, 7ast in 22mins, then the next game against LA he only plays 7 mins, then some nights in a row he only plays 14-15 mins a game, whats up?

I think he wants out of LA, his body language is totally different from how it was at the beginning of the year.

I admittedly have not watched a ton of Clipper games beyond what is on national TV but what on earth has Bledsoe done to get to “want out” from a team. He is an uber athletic, explosive, decent backup PG…lets not mistake that for being a starting PG. There is so much more to playing PG then being more athletic then people. I havent seen any ability to run a team, initiate sets, and show an understanding of where everybody needs to be or control tempo (the nuances that come with the PG position, and things that he should be able to pick up on behind Paul).

Again, I havent seen a great deal of Clips games, but from what I have seen I just don’t see a guy that I would want as my starting PG. He has the makings of a really good backup who can come in and speed ppl up, generate turnovers and provide a spark, but I don’t get the obsession from some people.

I mean, Bledsoe has shown flashes of being a very serviceable starting PG in the NBA:

    13pts, 8ast in 22mins

    11pts, 5boards, 5stls, 4ast in 26mins

    10pts,10ast,6stls in 39mins

    23pts,10ast,7boards in 38mins

    27pts, 6boards, 6stls in 41mins

And he’s had a handful of other good games, and since he first came into the league it’s like night and day from how he use to play to how he plays now, he still makes his mistakes every now and then but CP3 and Chauncey are helping him a great great deal.

There are plenty of teams that want him, he’s done enough to gain respect from some teams who might even have the idea of starting him, I understand where your coming from, as right now I agree he’s better as a backup, but I do believe if he was given starter minutes he’d be a solid PG right now, with the potential to be one of the top young PG’s in the League.

His defense is top notch, he’s as athletic as any PG in the league damn near. it’s going to take him getting thrown into the fire for a season to understand how the PG spot is really ran, for him to really get the feel of things as a full time starter, but anyone who watches the Clippers know Bledsoe isn’t the same as he was in the beginning of the year and I dont think it has anything to do with teams figuring him out.

Sidenote: LOL how have you not watched the Clippers much, they come on two-three times a week lol

I can answer a lot of questions about what’s wrong with the Clippers with one answer……… Vinny Del Negro

I don’t think I could have been happier with the decision to fire Del Negro. He is incompetent on the bench, and his substitutions and clock management are mind boggling. They definitely need to bring in a big man coach. Chris Paul & Chauncey Billups are excellent game managers out there; however I think Blake and Jordan can still improve immensely on the low block – a name that comes to mind is Kevin McHale. Just my two cents.

I watched the last few Clippers games, and Eric looks disinterested. As you said, his body language looks bad, real bad. Even though, he’s playing behind Chris Paul, the amount of mins he’s been receiving is sort of a slap in the face. He has been great over the last two seasons backing up CP3. To be a young player who has received big minutes and contributed heavily and consistently, I’m pretty sure it’s hard to stay mentally prepared when you all of a sudden see your already limited minutes decrease even more. If and when CP3 signs an extension this summer, I’m pretty sure they’re going to have to trade Bledsoe

I’ve watched every clipper game this year and you are spot on, at this point he’s not a starting point guard in this league, at least on a winning team. Even when he was putting up big numbers I didn’t think he was. I really enjoy watching him and am pulling for him but I think whoever throws a bunch of money at him will have buyers remorse. His jump shot is spotty at best, his decision making is subpar, his passing is average, but his driving ability, defense, and hussle are his strongest assets. At this point you can’t count on him to run a team, many people on the team talk about how he’s quiet and he never seems to show that strong leadership even when CP3 is out.

Ive said before that I think his potential as a starter is overrated and I thought the Clips should have sold high at the trade deadline. I understand they want to lock up Paul first. Hopefully he resigns as soon as he cans so they can make a move. They can target a real SG to pair with Paul and can add depth at 4/5 or a young SF. If Orl drafts Mclemore, Ill like to see the try to pawn off Bledsoe to them for Afflalo, Harington, and either Harkless or Harris. Afflalo is a real sg who can thrive next to Paul (who wouldnt?) and Harris or Harkless will be a young SF prospect. They also agree to take Harington’s contract, but he can be a decent 4 off the bench. Seems like a lot Orl is losing, but if they value Bledsoe as a starting pg, theyll have their backcourt of the future with Bledsoe and Mclemore. Clips prob throw a first rounder Orl’s way.
