He's really active inside but

He's really active inside but he also has a nice jumper out to 15ft, so he kinda plays like Dejuan Blair with a jumper, he also runs the floor well, but his question mark is on defense.

Beast

He is a rebounding machine. He should get numbers similar to Cousins, but he will play more minutes. Cousins was at like 21 mpg and Kanter should see 30 or so. He has a good motor and a real nose for the ball. Has a soft touch around the rim and can hit free throws. He killed at the Nike Hoops Summit and pretty much destroyed Sullinger (beat Dirk's scoring record for that game). He just turned 18 last month. Man child.

Also, he was named the Most Valuable Player in the 2009 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, averaging 18.6 points and 16.4 rebounds while leading Turkey to the bronze medal.

comparison

i'd actually compare him more to cousins than dejaun blair. mainly, because he is a legit 6-10. and i agree with everyone else's analysis. he got the skills and killed at the hoop summit, scoring and on the boards.

Comparison

I would compare him to a bigger Hansbrough. I think he could very well put up better numbers than Cousins this past year, but probably doesn't have the same upside. Hansbrough had some of the best stats by any freshman big guy I can think of, and you can easily see more of the same here. Carlos Boozer is another guy I might compare him to if he can keep getting stronger. I think he will be close to a 20-10 guy in the NBA someday.

My comparison is Andrew

My comparison is Andrew Bogut.

Kanter has a nice feel for the game, a sturdy frame, nice post moves and footwork, and the ability to face up and hit mid-range shots. Also a solid rebounder and OK defender with the potential to be a very good. He's got the fundamentals.

He's got a better offensive game than Blair, and isn't as tough. I couldn't compare him to Cousins because he's a more unselfish player/better passer and is less reliant on his girth.

34-13

He had 34 and 13 in the nike hoops summit game(world vs usa) BROKE DIRKS record with most points in that game....... he was going against all of the nations top prospects( Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, & Tobias Harris)...... He did good BUT didnt have a single block... He probably will thrive in the wildcats system but will have to improve defense... which is kind of hard in a run and gun O...... only time will tell how he will do in the nba

He's a complete beast...he

He's a complete beast...he has the body of an NBA player and he's only going to get bigger and stronger...he reminds me kind of of Pau Gasol with more physicality and less height similar offensive games though

Tyler

He looks to be in more control than Tyler. Don't get me wrong, Tyler was a heck of a college player, but he got a majority of his points off of free throws (go look at his fg stats). He was at the line alot.

Kanter has a smooth game kinda like Pau's, but he is tougher and goes after every rebound like he has at least a shot at grabbing it like Cousins. I like the Randolph comparison, but I think Kanter actually like to rebound on the defensive end too. He doesn't dunk mean... yet. I am really excited to see him at the NCAA level in Cal's DDM next year.
