 Reports are going around saying Embiid now stands 7’2" "in sandals"

Everyone knows the story of how David Robinson entered the Naval Academy as 6’7" freshman and was 7’2" by he senior year. Looks like Embiid might be experiencing the same growth pattern.

Anyone care to speculate how this would effect his foot injury?

I had hip surgery as a junior in high school where I got a screw put in my hip to reattach the femur. I grew 7-8 inches after that from then until now. Could be totally different, but people can grow latter.

while still growing, the body produces more hgh which should pretty significany help his healing process. But at the same time, that’s just more size for his foot to have to support. The high center of gravity and linger limbs could exacerbate the issue though….. I personally hope it is to his benefit. I want to see him reach his potential as much as any other prospect in recent memory. The sky is the limit for a healthy jojo

 I attended the Clippers / Sixers game & watched this kid shoot 3’s effortlessly & then complete trick dunks like a small forward & then My Jaw dropped when after the game the Clippers DeAndre Jordan & Blake Griffin walked over to shake hands w/ the Sixers big man… In loafers Embiid was a FULL head taller than Griffin & both DeAndre Jordan & Nerlens Noel barely reached his eyebrows & he has an incredibly Wide frame & long arms & he’s thick but not overweight thick… If this guy gets on the court, he is going to Dominate the NBA for a Decade….

David Robinson was measured at 7’0  for the Olympics. He was never 7’2.

Embiid was measured as 7’2 in sandals, but who knows what type of sandals he is talking about. 

Still, it is pretty crazy if he still is growing.

 I saw him wearing Platform Crocs sandles once…must have been measured in those. Looked about 7’2" with them on.
