East frontcourts...

Going over the potential frontcourts of Eastern Conference teams I'm excited about the potential for some physically big guys playing against each other.

Atl - Dedmon & Collins
Bos - Horford & Tatum
Bkn - Allen & RHJ
Cha - Zeller & Kaminsky
Chi - Carter Jr & Markkanen
Cle - Zizic & Love
Det - Drummond & Griffin
Ind - Turner & Sabonis
Mia - Whiteside & Johnson
Mil - Lopez & Ilyasova
NY - Kanter & Porzingis
Orl - Bamba & Gordon
Phi - Embiid & Saric
Tor - Valanciunas & Ibaka
Was - Howard & Morris

Of the likely playoff teams only really Boston and Washinton have that kind of small ball 4-man. Granted Indy could go with Young, Toronto OG and Milwaukee with Giannis at PF, but I think their best options are the bigger line-ups.
(I still think Boston goes hard after an All-Star big to put next to Horford)

I doubt we will see much of

I doubt we will see much of Zeller/Kaminsky, Zizic/Love, Lopez/Ilyasova, or Kanter/Porzingis on the court together. All those combos sound disastrous. I even hear Toronto will try bringing Ibaka off the bench behind Valanciunas.

Yeah I do think we see Lopez

Yeah I do think we see Lopez & Giannis for the Bucks and the only reason it won't be Kanter & Porzingis is because of the injury.

I think in Charlotte they need to play their younger talent which would be Kaminsky & Zeller, they having enough variation to compliment each other offensively and on defense Zeller is pretty mobile he could do a respectable job on the perimeter.
Cleveland I just don't see a lot of options to be honest, Zizic had a good summer league and plays down-low so can compliment his outside game.

The only 3 I like on the whole list...

Detroit-They will hopefully have even more chemistry than last season. (Drummond + Blake)

Chicago-They could be a young Al horford and Porzingas like combo which could be interesting to see how they play...But this is not set in stone as Fred H may be underpressure to get wins over developing possibly,Meaning you could see Robin or Portis over Wendal..(Wendal+Lauri)

Boston-If they are smart they will roll with these two as that way you get Taytum Minutes to see how he can fully play.(Taytum+ Horford). However I could see them starting Morris or doing what OKC does with P.G so Taytum gets his touches playing the 6th man sort of role once hayward and Irving are back..

Honorable mention: K.P and Kanter that would be sort of fun to watch however K.P probably will be out for a good chunk of the season so this may not get much time together and Joel and Saric as they are pretty good together already but like the above tandem injuries could limit them..

The rest of the big matchups are a meh sort of feel to them as in I'm not overly excited to watch them..As a great chunk of the solid bigs are out West:

KAT,A.D,Cousins(whenback),Adams,Gobert,D.J,Nurkic,Jokic,Ayton,Gasol(Marc)LMA,Millsap,Capella,Dirk,Julius Randle,Mirotic,Favors and Draymond G(if you consider him a legit big)..Most of the lead bigs in there respective Tandems would dominate the best bigs in the East if they really went at it...

Chi

Carter and Lauri are an exciting new age NBA front court. Wendell showed great defensive potential in summer league. If he can play like that against starting NBA front courts by year 3 of his development, I would be very happy. The question is can Lauri develop his D and Reboundibg to really make this pair work. Carter can’t do everything on the defensive end.

(Plus Parker and LaVine play suspect defense which puts more pressure on our rim protectors)

I think Lauri will be a

I think Lauri will be a pretty good defender, nothing great, but he is long and very mobile. I still think LaVine would be best suited as a 6th man and they are in desperate need of a perimeter defender. Dunn and Carter have nice defensive potential, but neither òf them can match-up with the bigger scoring wings of the NBA.

McMillian wasn’t a big fan of

McMillian wasn’t a big fan of playing Turner & Sabonis together last season, so it’ll be interesting to see if that changes. I still like Young starting at the 4. Sabonis & O’Quinn off of the bench will be tough.

I think curiosity and a

I think curiosity and a little but of front office pressure will mean we see 10-15min of those 2 together this season, we need to see if they can play together to make the right decision next Summer.

Why aren’t people saying the 76ers have the best Front Court

Embiid is a Two Way Stud, Saric is a great F that can pass/shoot and rebound

They have chemistry and cohesion between them

Plus I think Fultz forced his way into the Starting lineup and pushed Saric to the 6th Man role

Simmons may very well end up starting at PF and running the offense at the 4 spot, Fultz would play a similar role to D Wade in Miami...

Starters

Fultz, Reddick, Covington, Simmons and Embiid

Bench would be lead by Dario Saric, Wilson Chandler, Kyle Korver and TJ McConnell...Holmes and Shamet could see some minutes too, Mike Muscala could see some time as well if his shot is falling

OR we start Saric and play Fultz off the bench

Agree with everything you

Agree with everything you said here, except Kyle Korver plays for Cleveland.
