ChewyParticipantThe Bracket Committee (at the suggestion of the Coaches Association) did something unprecedented today. They announced their top 16 seeds IF the season ended today. Apparently this is something the committe does every year, but doesn’t publically release. Here is what they had:
1.Nova, 2.Ville, 3.UK, 4.UCLA
1. Zags, 2. Oregon, 3. Virginia, 4. Press Virginia
1. KU, 2. FSU, 3. Zona, 4. Duke
1. Baylor, 2. UNC, 3. Flordia, 4. Butler
What do you guys think? Overvalued, undervalued ect…

ChewyParticipantI think the B12 is too overrated in this. They do not deserve two number 1 seeds.
I also think the Pac 12 is underrated. Who ever comes out as king from Zona, UCLA and Oregon deserve a number 1 seed.
The state of my B10 this year makes me sad, but it is clear they don’t deserve a single spot in this top 16 this year.

llperezucla at 15 and UK at 12? Anyone want to make an argument for Uk ahead of ucla? UCLA beat Uk at kentucky leading the entire second half. UCLA has 3 losses to quality teams (21-4 usc, 22-3 arizona and 21-4 oregon) Kentucky has 5 losses iuncluding one to tennessee.
Pac 12 got overrated by the committee big time last year so now the committee seems to be looking to take it out on the conference this year based on this early release.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI wonder if UCLA’s win over Oregon was factored into this or if the seedings were done beforehand. Seems pretty inexcusable to have them on the 4 line. Don’t see how teams like kentucky, Virginia, and Arizona have more impressive overall resumes to date.

SubZeroParticipantI’m probably the biggest UK fan on the board and although we have 1 seed talent and potential, I don’t see how we’re over UCLA. I don’t necessarily think that because they beat us, because that game could’ve easily went the other way. I’m looking at how we played against Tennessee, Florida, and Louisville, and those were not good showings at all. All 3 of those games, they were completely flat and played with almost no drive, and you can’t play a minute like that in March and survive
