Early NCAA Nat’l Champs Predictions

As I like to say, this isn’t the year to favor anyone from seeing that it’s been an up and down season. Brackets aren’t out yet, but I’m going to go out on a limb and stamp Michigan State as the National Champs this year.

I would say Virginia. Hard to see them losing in the NCAA tourney.. They are tough. Guy can really up his stock with strong play. Him and Jerome remind me of a young Spurs Patty Mills and Kyle Anderson

Virginia

In the year of many good teams but no great teams, this is the year Tony's defense can win it all. If I was pressed for my number 2 choice, I believe in Texas Tech.

as much as i think virginia

as much as i think virginia has a legit shot of winning it all this year, they're just not as good of a team as they had 2-3 years ago where they floundered out in the sweet 16... then again not much kansas, duke, or kentucky this year..

edit: whoops i just realized i replied to the wrong person. oh well still works..

still about Virginia

so it works. But my belief in UVA is based on your point, the blue bloods this year are clearly not playing like their regualr blue blood selves. True this is not Bennett's best UVA team for sure, but I do think this is Bennett's best shot a title so far based on competition field.

Other than watching the top

Other than watching the top lotto type guys, I don't care.

Ehhh, guess I will pull for any of the non-1-and Done schools.

Michigan State and Villanova are the teams most like Final Four worthy teams with some top shelf talent too.

Could be a year where you get a real deep sleeper in the Final Four with a couple of 2 seeds and a 1 seed.

Most of the bids go to Power 5/Big East Conferences with the blue chip mid-card teams like Gonzaga, Wichita St., St Mary's, and Cincy getting the other bids. Outside of these teams you MIGHT get a Sweet 16 team from a mid-major or a 1 bid conference -- or not.

Teams I like: older, well rounded teams with a legit go-to guy.

Teams I don't like: teams that can't score enough or generate enough offense. Even if is a 'name' team like UVA or WVU.

I say Nova. They have a couple of guys out right now. This is giving the young freshman valuable minutes. Might make them deeper than ever come tourny. Always gotta watch out for UNC and Duke. Seems like Xavier makes a run every year and no one remembers. I dont like how Izzo handles his rotation, MSU ducks out early this year. Virginia will lose to a mid major who gets red hot from behind the arc. Purdue will lose to Cincinnati...dont ask me how I know this, I just do. Biggest surprise schools; OSU, Syracuse and the Bonnies..JK..maybe
