Is Dwight Howard mentally weak?
he doesnt give you that sense that he really wants to win or that it really matters to him. he looks like he just wants to have fun playing in LA off and on court i guess. hopefully by playoffs(if they make it lol) he will get it together.
On and off the floor he definitely is mentally. If he was the franchise player on my team, I couldn't take anything important he says all that seriously. He has a flip flopper attitude to him.
Dwight just needs to get pissed off about something on the court
Its hard for me to call him mentally week when his Magic beat the cavs in 5 after losing the first game on a game winner
Lakers clearly just need a point guard Chris Duhon starting point ARE U SERIOUS there's no way they can compete with him running the show i dont care if u have Kobe and Dwight it just wont work
Dwight Howard with K-Loves motor= Bill Russel

I dont think he's mentally weak really. He didnt seem that way in Orlando (atleast not intell his last 2 seasons their) when he was getting defensive player of the year awards. I do think he lacks focus, and is just easily disinterested in the game. Probably partly becuase the game comes so easy to him with his athletic gifts. And right now, with the Lakers losing he doesn't seem that interested.
He certainly isn't strong, but I also don't know if anyone can be that dominate at a sport and really be mentally weak. I mean he is blessed with very good speed and hops, but he isn't that much more physically gifted than everyone else. And he doesn't have the coordination to dribble and shoot the ball.
But no I don't think he lives and dies basketball games while out there.
What sort of things does he do or not do to make him seem mentally weak or disinterested? When I see him play, he looks really into the game and he handles his questions in the interviews and press conferences very well. I'm not seeing the disinterested part. Is it his tone of voice or something? I dont get it. It can be his production because he is producing very well although not be 100%. 18.4ppg and 11.7rpg with 2.7bpg is right around his career averages. His ft percentages are terrible and has to get better, but thats been the case his entire career. I think he's just the easy target for people to point the finger at since LA has not been winning thus far. Im not sure if everyone expected him to average 30 and 15 or something. Can anyone please let me kn ow what it is thats causing him to seem mentally weak in your eyes?
You guys are high...
I guess nobody saw Dwight give Kobe a look and then yell at him on the floor when he missed two straight defensive rotations versus the Hornets? Kobe yelled back and then Dwight even took it back to the bench and pointed his finger in Kobe's face. I mean, who challenges Kobe like that?
And not only that, Kobe responded with better play on the floor. His defense was noticeably better the rest of the game. When KOBE BRYANT respects you, you know that means something.
The only thing that's weak on Dwight right now is him physically. He's not 100%. He's barely even 80-85%. I know it's early, but I'm worried if he'll ever get back to that physically imposing player he was in Orlando before the back injury. We barely saw him get dunked on or get his shot blocked, but we've seen that A LOT this season. People underestimate just how serious his surgery was. That whole condition messed with his lower back as well as the nerves going to his legs.
I'm not sure if he's mentally weak, depending on what your definition is he could defintiely qualify. I will say he's definitely a TurnCoat for the sake of being liked. He's says what he think will get him a pass on his actions. I also believe his image is way more important than his game to him, I like him but I'm calling it how I see it, there's is no way at this point in his career that he shouldn't have a Dominant post game and be making 65-70% from the line. The Diesel says it all the time 28/15.
Maybe, Dwyte Howerd just aint bout dis life?

I think he is. He always comes off as someone who doesn't take things seriously.
