goneParticipantBismack Biyombo is the next Dwight Howard….j/k j/k
But really am I the only one who feels like Dwight Howard isn’t dominating on the offensive end like he should be? 23ppg 14rbs 2.4blks are great numbers but this is his 6th year and he is playing against weak centers nearly every night. I feel like his scoring should be up around 27ppg easily….Is it him? Is it the system? Will he get better?

NJHooper95ParticipantHoward should be averaging more and he would be if Orlando was a three-point shoot happy team. Jameer Nelson is not a good distributor of the ball. No way he should average less than 8 ast a game with Howard out there. Orlando lives by the perimeter and if Howard had a better passing pg I think he would give you more. Also Howard need to continue to improve his offensive game.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipant23.1 PPG for a 25 year old center is impressive. Especially when considering he averages only 13.5 FGA per game and converts 59.6 % of them.
In Shaquille O’Neal’s prime he consistantly averaged 19+ FGA per game. Ditto for Hakeem.
Tim Duncan who, along with O’Neal, is considered the best low post player of the last 15 years has only averaged 23 PPG on three occasions (23.2, 23.3 and 25.5) and he played against weak centers most nights as well.
There aren’t many centers in NBA history who’ve been capable of cranking out 27 PPG years and they all take alot more shots than Dwight.

bron42ParticipantIt annoys me when people say that…hes obvioulsy gotten better overall offensivly by not just relyig on athletic ability and keep in mind, he only gets like 9 attempts a game…name another superstar level guy who only gets 8-9 attempts? Like NJ said, dwight could average 40 with someone like chris paul just dropping it off to him..instead alot of his points are off put backs and rebounds…hes not the dream or anything but hes def put in work on his offense.

TyroberParticipantIf he could make his free throws he would definitely agree 27 instead of 23.

boxn1ParticipantHe is a post player,he depends on everyone else getting him the ball. I feel that is what will eventually lead to him leaving Orlando. No way should he take fewer than 20 fga. Speaking of which, everytime i watch a magic game it seems atleast 3x during said game that Howard grabs the rebound, makes a great rim run, seals his man under the rim….and no one attempts to get him the ball smh

EuroBallParticipantThey Kill him, if this guy was a High 60 to 70 percent shooter he would average around 25 to 27 ppg easy. Also he does take many shots at all.

SteroidParticipantI agree, It kills me to see guys like Turkoglu and Nelson pound the ball while Dwight has good position to score the ball down low. I see this a lot, and that’s the reason why I feel like he should leave unless they make some moves to get him a guy who will get him the ball. Dwight should at least be averaging 15FGA.
