    Hi its Ben

The combo guard for St. Johns is pretty good. Or atleast every time I’ve watched him. He’s like 6-2 and has good athletism and can score, doesnt have much point guard skills. I feel like if he went overseas for a couple of years, he could develop these skills and make it in the league.. What do you all think?

While Dwight Hardy is having an excellent year this year I don’t think he is someone who will do well in the NBA. His asst to turnover ratio is under 1, which is really bad for any guard. He is only an average perimeter shooter, so that’s two strikes against him. While he is a very clutch player there are too many questions marks regarding him as a prospect. He is a very good college player though. I would love to see him in the NBA, but he has a lot to prove.

Yeah the NBA doesnt seem to be in his future. He a slashing two guard thats 6’2" without greats explosiveness. He’s a great college player, and lookslike a good Euro pro, but other than that, I have lots of doubts.

He is by no means an average perimeter shooter. He is 38 percent from three in Big East play and has a tremendous stroke. The guy is going to get drafted, and it is probably going to be a team that will believe that a 6’2 player with his athleticism and long arms can get some time at the 2.

I can see him in the NBA. Instant offense off the bench, plus his mental stamina is top level. Plus his defense is lockdown, I’ve seen few point guards in college that can defend like him, if any at all.

Him and Fisher were carrying their teams today, both in great games as the same time I was flippin back and forth.  Even tho Hardy’s came in an upset, it came at home where they have been playin extremely well.  Nova didn’t know what hit them on the road with Stokes out only Waynes and Fisher showed up and Depaul got some 3 very promising freshmen they are going to be good next year.

But Hardy really don’t bring anything besides scoring and he’s not an out of this world scorer either he is just very clutch.  Remember Scottie Reynolds isn’t in the league, and he is better then Hardy, he did what Hardy is doing now for 2 1/2 years in the Big East and is a much better passer, and pure ball handler.

I see nothing there to suggest he can succeed in the NBA consistently, maybe he can have a hot game here and there, and that’s about it. With that said, he is a great clutch player and college player. Guys like Hardy struggle to make it. A lot of guys come out of college you think can fit the instant offense role and end up struggling mightily in the NBA, with NBA level size and defenders. He’ll need to either become a little bit better of a perimiter shooter or do a little bit better with his playmaking/court vision/PG skills.
