They have to pass physicals
That seems pretty easy to get around. He could be eligible to trade right at deadline.

...then Dwight leaves after
Cleveland loses a potential top 1-10 pick, then Dwight leaves after this season w/o getting anything in return... it's the decision all over again... triple whammy..
i don't think Cavs management will allow that to happen again.. esp w/ the way Dwight thinks

Sorry seemed obv...
that Dwight agreeing to resign would be part of the trade. There isn't a group of talented young guys better than what the Cavs have with room to sign a contract the size that he wants.

Plus the Cavs send their 1st round pick. LA can use the pick for whoever they like out of Shabazz, Bennett, or one of the PGs.
Lakers abandon the failed Dwight project and get a quality defensive center in return who doesn't need the ball to be effective. Hopefully he can stay healthy, but if not his contract isn't a killer and the Lakers get some depth for their bigs. Zeller is a poor man's Pau and Gee can platoon with Meta. Just as important the Lakers don't add any big long term contracts while getting deeper and younger.
Cavs get a solid big man to go with their young guards and Tristan Thompson. Dwight gets to be the hero of Cleveland after LeBron deserted them and get a max deal in a city that will love him.
Lakers 2013-14
Nash Blake
Kobe Meeks
Gee Meta (Shabazz, Smart)
Pau Hill
Varajeo Zeller
Cavs 2013-14
Irving Duhon
Waiters Selby
CJ Miles CJ Leslie
Tristan Speights K Jones
Dwight Withey
