 They make their teams look like contenders during the regular season only to choke or perform well below expectations in the postseason. Don’t get me wrong the Raptors are doing well but man for some reason they underperform in the playoffs much like Andy Reid teams.

Not a good comparison. I know it’s in style to rag on the Chiefs after blowing a 21-3 lead, but comparing Reid to Dwayne Casey is dismissive of the fact Reid to the Eagles to 5 NFC championship games. The Raptors have only been to 1 Eastern Conference Finals.

I think a better comparison for Casey would be Jason Garrett.

 Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in football. Give him some credit. Wait till Mahomes is at the helm.

Hes also been a head coach for 19 seasons compared to Caseys 7 with the Raptors (2 with the Wolves but that job was never really safe). I think if you give Dwayne 12 more seasons the odds of him making 4 more Eastern Conference Finals are decent. Not a bad comparison but it still sucks thats the main perception of this coach and team.

Ive always been a big supporter of Casey. Despite him taking alot of backlash froom Toronto fans when this team failed to succeed. He has always preached ball movement, every year at the beginning of the season he tries to implement a better more fluent tempo and move away from iso scoring. His guys always compete and work hard every game and if they dont they are held accountable. He has been asking to move away from Valanciunas for the longest time despite losing fans trust for that and now we see that the type of Center Jonas is has very little room in the NBA. Last season he was amongst the leagues leading coaches in after timeout play conversion success rates. Hes constantly improving and is dialed in and focused every game yelling at the top of his lungs from the sidelines for 48 minutes.

Facts are there are only a handful of organizations in the NBA where everybody is on the same page from the GM and management staff, to coaches and assistants to players and throughout. Toronto is one of those teams which is the reason for the consistency they have had and Dwayne Casey built that from the ground up. It really is his show and I would hate to see him leave.

As for Dwane Casey, I don’t think anyone has ever looked at his Raptors roster and thought they were a legitimate chance to get out of the East.  He is coaching them just fine.
