Durant makes three at the Buzzer for the win!!!!!!!!

Crazy game, great game. The Thunder were up by two with the ball, 8 game game shot clock game clock differential, durant misses top of the key shot, Ibaka gets the board, is fouled, but misses BOTH free throws. On the next Mavs possesion, Dirk Drives left, adn kicks it out to Vince Carter to mail the three with 1.4 seconds to put them up by 1. Then Durant makes a crazy fadeaway three at the buzzer for the win. Great game, what was you takeway in reagards to both teams, and the Mavs are now 0-3, Thunder are 4-0.

Funny story

I already felt like/knew that ball was going in. There are only 3 players in the NBA that make me feel that way. Where the ball is going in at moments like these. Carmelo, Bryant, and now Durant. I just had this feeling deep down that ball was going in.

ive been on durantss band wagon since texas... and ive been saying since day 1 hes going to go down as a superstar. now im saying: he is going to be one of the best EVER. he is going to win MVP this year. and im also pegging him as a lock as a future hall of famer.... and i didnt think this just cause of this shot... but i was saying this before this season started...

Durant had six turnovers

Durant had six turnovers tonight, but put up 30 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal... He was VERY efficient tonight, then hit the walk-off game winner.

He's taking that next step as a player... His ball handling has improved... He's playing in the post... He's seeing the floor better. And now, he's starting to get better when the game is on the line.

Scary... He's approaching UNGUARDABLE status.

I'm sticking to my belief that he's a more complete offensive player than LeBron and that he could surpass LeBron as a player in the next season or two.

i just hate how the refs

i just hate how the refs swallow their whistles at the end of games. You cant get away with murder in the final seconds becasue refs dont want to decide games. Perkins set the absolute defenition of moving screen on marion who was gaurding durant.

I've also been on the Durant

I've also been on the Durant band wagon since he was at Texas because I live in Texas and thats my favorite college .I also thought Kevin Durant should have been taking first overall ahead of Greg Oden even if though I didnt know Oden was gonna have those injuries but how do you pass up a freshmen thats a 6'10 sf that won the player of the year award and and has handles and shoots 3s like pure shooter?IDK but I just wish he some how came to Mavs

Ah that's pretty cool of

Ah that's pretty cool of those of you who said you've been on his bandwagon since Texas. I think a fair amount of us, or at least myself, frequent Rivalshoops.com on the reg and I knew about the kid since HS, though at the time I did think Oden was the better prospect and pick. But yeah, what a shot! If Westbrook wasn't such an arrogant idiot who thinks he's D-Rose or they had went ahead and traded him for CP3, Durant could average 35-40.

^^^^Are you kidding why not

Indiana basketball:why not draft Durant? He was the first freshmen to be the national consesus player of the year he is 6'10 with handles ,great jumper and great athlete .Greg Oden might be a defensive power house and defense wins championships but the truth is if you have a player that can do a little bit of everything and take over a game with his scoring in the 4th quater you can win with that one player (just look at Jordan and Kobe ).

AND looking the Trailblazers roster when they had that draft pick they had Brandon Roy coming off a rookie of the year award and Zack Randolph and Lamarcus Aldridge if you draft KD all you need is a pg then you have what the Thunder have right now with a young great growing player at each position.

Look, in 2007, we all knew

Look, in 2007, we all knew Durant would be an amazing wing player, and a perenial all star one day. We knew he was a rare breed of a 6'10 small foward that's incredibly long with a pure as silk shooting stroke. We all knew he was going to be a Star oneday.

But we all though Oden was going to be the next great center, along with Shaq, and Hakeem and Ewing. But as we all know, injuries tore that dream apart. But like Indiana Basketball has said before, if God promised me that Oden would stay healthy, I would take him ahead of Durant again. I personally would pick Durant, but what I'm trying to say is that many people feel that finding a talented big man is so difficult that you might as well take a try.

It's easy to say Durant

It's easy to say Durant should have been the nr.1 pick but you are forgetting how good Oden was. If Oden had stayed healthy he would be in the same category as Dwight Howard. Bigs win you titles and Oden was the best big man prospect since Duncan. You have to use number one pick on that. Just like if you have the nr. 1 pick this year you have to take Drummond.

It bothers me when people say that ish...

None of you can see into the future... G.O. came back with a broken wrist not knee (which didn't show up till he got into the league) and took his team to the Championship game... Dude showed some balls shooting freethrows with his off hand... Then he had the personality of Tim Duncan... You don't pass that up on a 6'10 tweener who can't even lift 135 lbs. one time... Come on now... Blazers did the right thing... Its so damn easy to look back and say I wish I didn't do that... Another thing MJ for the Wizards selecting Kwame... A lot of people give Jordan ish for that... That was ALSO the best pick in the draft at the time... He killed Eddie Curry and Tyson Chandler in workouts... Yall need to do more research or can it...

I haven't seen KD this year as of yet... But if he going in the post and handling the ball better I will say he is the most skilled player in the NBA... Better than Melo... If he can sure up his defense I would say he's going to be better than LeBron in a year or two as well... He gets IT, LeBron don't... (Which I believe I figured out why LeBron come up short, but that's for another thread and its not because he don't have the clutch gene)
