I cant see him staying.. With

I cant see him staying.. With the season they had, he probably just wants to get that bad taste out of his mouth and head to the NBA.. He is going to be a definate top 10 pick and probably a top 5 guy.. Just go get that money and try to find a spot in the league.

yeah

he goes.....there was never a chance he'd stay.....and if he stays for one UCONN might not get to go to the tourney which where players make or break their draft stock, kinda like he BROKE it this year....two he could go top 5 this year, unless he came back and substantially improved, it wont help his stock. He'll run the risk of being exposed then his stock could DROP.

staying

UCONN doesn't put out one and dones. Probably coach will tell him stay another year will work on your game here and there and your draft stock will go up. Look at Kemba and now Lamb. Probably late first rounds that turned to early mid picks.

problem with your reasoning is that drummond is already a high draft pick after his freshman year. kemba and lamb werent after their freshman years, especially kemba coming off the bench his first year

Did UCONN even recruit

Did UCONN even recruit anyone? Jeremy Lamb is leaving, and Oriaki is transferring so he is left there with the next two best players being shoot first guards. Not to mention the health issues of Jim Calhoun and academic problems that could potentially limit them from being in the tourney at all next year...yeah I'm willing to bet he is leaving.

UConn has one recruit so far

UConn has Omar Calhoun coming in from NYC, he's a top 50 player and he was player of the year for the state of New York this year. He's a good shooting 2-guard who basically replaces Lamb. I believe that UConn is still recruiting some PFs/Cs but I don't know what type of players they're going to find left at this of the recruiting stage.

Another year of development?

Another year of development? how is he going to develop with guard orientented offense. Whenever I watch a UConn game Napier, Boatright, and Lamb had the ball most of the time.

Although he hasn't came out

Although he hasn't came out and said it, it's widely known he's a lock to come out. Stay another year with two selfish guards and not even be eligible for the post-season? No thanks.

Would Drummond consider

Would Drummond consider transferring to a team like Georgetown or North Carolina which gets its bigs involved in the offense a lot more?

I know it's a wildcard move, but taking a year to develop his skills in practice and then be the featured player could help him explode in his junior year in a similar manner to Thomas Robinson.

It would be daft for Drummond to stay at UCONN next season, but another two years of college might help him be an impact player as soon as he steps on an NBA court, provided he gets the opportunity to succeed at his new school.

NO that would be beyond dumb to go to UNC or Georgetown sit out next year and play in 2013-14 season...

Drummond, on the right team,

Drummond, on the right team, will develop better in the NBA than he would in college.... just like Bynum and Dwight.

I see him having some impact

I see him having some impact as a rookie. As a defender, rebounder, and a nice big body.. Who knows, if he gets with a team like Orlando, if they were to trade Howard for a top pick, Patrick Ewing could show him how to be a scoring C..

I like his upside but I think it will be a while before he is a very productive C..

Yep and rumor is that Alex Oriakhi will be a Kentucky Wildcat because they are starting to feel like they will not be getting Noels after all.

Even though drummond can

Even though drummond can transfer without sitting out I dont think he will do that.He wanted to go to Uconn all along and won't play for any other coach except Calhoun. So my guess is he is going to the league but he is so shy and timid that he may announce late just like he did for college.
