valentineBoi went for 31 19 2 against 6ers.Steal of the last draft !He’s gonna be best Center in league in 2-3 years, right now I woul put him maybe in top 5 Howard(who’s on decline),Hibbert,Gasol, and who next ?? Good centers are rarity in todays game, and Detroit has potentially best C of next 10-15 years

Sharp ShooterParticipantAgree he did have a good game but what stood more than anything was his post up moves. He didn’t hesitate, he went straight to it and powered up everytime(resulting in and1’s). The more comfortable with the post moves, the scarier he’s gonna be.
Also, it seem like the pistons are a better team running instead of playing half court offense.

Ebown5ParticipantSixers fan here who didn’t watch the game, but I am happy to see that we are regressing back to where we were supposed to be this year.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that Drummond had a huge game against us as we are a really soft team on the front line. In two years Drummond has a shot to be the best center in basketball. You can’t teach that size and strength.
If he can continue the offensive progress he is going to be a monster.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantTop 5 center right now?
I’d much rather have Howard, Hibbert, Lopez, Gasol, Horford, Noah, Cousins, Jefferson, Pekovic, P Gasol, and Bosh in a game right now.
I’d put him in the same category as Chandler, Asik, and Bogut.
He’s not even a top-10 center.
He’s going to be good but slow down.

ph90702Chris Bosh, Al Horford, and Al Jefferson aren’t even centers. They play center out of necessity.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnd they’re still better centers than Drummond.
Not to mention, Horford and Jefferson have never played any other position other than center in their entire careers. So how aren’t they centers?

Malik-UniversalParticipanti went to the game… im not shocked by the 31 points or 19 boards… but what I liked is that he didn’t hesitate in the post… he absorbed the contact, didn’t rush and made his shots… normally he has horrible touch but not today…. i was also impressed with the fact that he wanted the ball in the post on some plays… normally the pistons don’t run plays for him since he can get easy garbage buckets

Pack AttackParticipantTo me the giant elephant in the room holding him back from top-five center status is his free-throw shooting. It’s crippingly low right now at 29%. He shot 7-18 this game with the Sixers intentionally fouling and that’s actually above average for him! Even Shaq and Dwight have shot above 50% for their careers. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect his confidence like it did to Andris Biedrins.

HaleParticipantUnlike Shaq, Drummond has actually expressed his desire to improve his free throw shooting. I don’t doubt he will put in the work, but I don’t see him ever hitting 70%.

gatorguy3911ParticipantYup FT shooting is his kryptonite. Sixers were intentionally fouling him in the 3rd quarter. Turned a 25 point game in to a 10 point game and took the Pistons out of their rythm on offense. He’s going to be a liability late in games if he can’t at least bcome a 50% guy.
He’s a freak though, there’s no doubting that.

r377ParticipantAs a pistons fan his ft shooting is absolutely horrid and needs to be improved big time.
I saw him airball one earlier this year – it was so short it didn’t even touch the bottom of the net – PURE AIR.

phila9012ParticipantEven 50% is bad, you need to be shooting 60% from the line as a bigman to not get fouled because the shots you are taking are high percentage shots. Dwight howard has put a ton of time into improving his free throw shooting and he actually got worse.
