Ward

Ward, has somebody injected you with happy juice?

You've been so cheery over the last few days.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the good attitude. McCutter has become an emo and OrangeJuiceJones is missing (tli's basement?). Aran refuses to incorporate my idea of including a "hotness" rating on all the prospect profiles and DanEboy keeps calling my sister in the middle of the night. I could use a little positivity around here.

New "John Wall Fails Drug Test" thread

Nah, I haven't been injected with happy juice or anything magical or mythical like that. I am just a happy person that loves to laugh and have fun. (Usually) I may not show it on this site much but that's because I try to keep that part of me out of this site because I want to be respected on this site and I am really passionate about the sport of basketball and the game I LOVE. Just like I'm sure all of you are. Anyway, no money, I haven't seen you respond to what I said about the Jazz in your earlier thread today. I want to see what you think, and have a little debate with you over it.

This thread is the new "John Wall Fails Drug Test" thread. Ready, Set, Go.....

I

I read what you wrote, but decided to let sleeping dogs lie. I'm actually trying to talk less about the Jazz on here, as I tend to get frustrated when I do.

You brought up a few interesting points. I didn't think about how Deron Williams wanted Utah to shake up the roster. Now I do remember him mentioning that he wanted Utah to make some moves. I think we traded for Jefferson in an attempt to make Williams happy, and as you mentioned, it initially did. Still, the shake up was likely indirectly responsible for Sloan and Williams leaving. You brought up another interesting point about chemistry. Maybe Jefferson just needed time to fit into Utah's offense. In his last game against Minnesota, he didn't force things like he usually does and he even played well defensively. On another note, I am more than confident that Millsap was capable of replacing Boozer's offensive production, and have seen no indication that this would not be true.

I actually see Kirilenko as the link that holds the team together, and I maintain that Watson is the team MVP. On the season, the team excels when Jefferson is on the bench. However, if he continues to improve his shot selection, defense and passing ability (and I really hope for the team's sake that he does) then I'll change my stance on him. Until then, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Sorry to make such a big deal about it and then kind of bow out. Thanks for your feedback though. I'm pulling for Utah to make the playoffs as well, even though our remaining schedule is very tough.

My Vision of what could happen if the Jazz get rid of AK

I think that in order for Utah to be able to contend with the Elite they will need to get of AK. Imagine if they do so, draft Harrison Barnes or Derrick Williams with their sixth pick and then Miles continues to improve his game and solidies his starting spot on the team. Then just to really confuse and stump opponents Derrick Favors improves so much over the offseason (Not enough to be better than Millsap but still pretty good) that he starts too thus moving Millsap back to the bench giving the Jazz 2 potentially scoring threats off the bench. (Their 2nd 1st round draft pick this year, a pg like Brandon Knight or Jimmer, and Millsap. Millsap would be playing the same role that Lamar Odom plays for the Lakers and the Jazz would be a handful for any team!!!! (Not enough to contend against the elite but at least enough to give them a challenge) Even if we end up drafting Terrance Jones instead of Barnes or Dwill it will still be a pretty big upgrade over AK. This what I think Utah could do if they give up AK. I know its a little unrealistic but I have big ideas for the Jazz as I want them to compete with the Elite like all nba fans want their favorite teams to be able to do. This is also why I think that getting rid of AK is the thing that would help Utah out so much and thus is necessary in order to contend with the elite. Which is why I think that he is not the link that holds the Jazz together but rather Earl Watson is. I think that AK is that link, THIS YEAR but as for the future he needs to go if the Jazz want to continue challenging the elite like they were known for back in the Stockton and Malone days. Watson is the link for now and the future. They wouldn't even have to necessarily trade AK and get something nice back to make up for loosing him as the additions of Barnes, Williams or Jones will more then make up for it now and in the future. It would be great if the Jazz traded him and got something complimentary back (not really fair value though, probably just a nice bench player, maybe a center to help replace Okur that is better then Fez.) but it is not necessary any more as the Jazz now that have two potential lottery picks this year.

Anyways back to main topic at hand, wait a second there was no topic to this thread. lol

Sorry for going off on a tangent about the Jazz but I couldn't resist, I had to give you my "vision" of the Jazz's future if they get rid of AK.
