DukeDaSquadParticipantI know im late but what was flagrant about the Lebron and Draymond encounter? The only reason i could see for a flagrant being called in this situation is the fact that draymond was 1 away from a suspension and that would give the cavs a greater chance of winning. I know Draymond did this to himself with his actions leading up to this point but if anything, thats a double tech on both players or just a tech on Draymond

220ParticipantIf you head to YouTube you’ll see Draymond Green ball tapped Lebron James after Lebron stepped over him.

mercyman25ParticipantLeBron instigated the whole incident, pretty weak interpretation by the league.

nill650Participantwow you gsw fans are oblivious to facing reality.
You should know that Draymond Green is a antagonist if every sense of the term on the court…he’s an antogonist with his attitude even off the court.
No, Lebron was’nt the instegator, they were just competing like usual and despite the step-over complaints,if you look closeley you can see that Greens position on the floor required Lebron to step over him without risking getting his left anlke rolled on if Green moved towards him.
You can complain all you want , but Green definitely ball tapped him,and that is what makes him dirty. He could have walked away from that with no foul at all if he had’nt done that, as it was Lebron that made contact and Green that flopped.

Magic JordanParticipantHow can people even claim that’s a ball tap? What he did to Adams, that was a short worthy of a flagrant. Reaching up to push someone away who is stepping over you is not flagrant. Just because he barely brushed Lebrons micro penis it’s flagrant? Such bull.
The media just hops on board and follows the NBA’s lead to perpetuate the Lebron hype machine.
Either way, this just delayed the inevitable. And ultimately will make the Cav fans suffer even more as they watch the Dubs win the ship for the 2nd year in a row on their home court.
Series ends tonight then it’s draft time!!!

nill650ParticipantKeep on believing that your team is that much better with Green, but that does’nt explain the Cavs winning by 30 when Green played does it?
No, this is a great series, and either team could win it…that is the reality now.

BiggysmallsParticipantBelieve me, I’m all good with Draymond not backing down from LeBron trying to intimidate everybody. He does it every game, puffing his chest out all big every time he’s on the court. I love that Green didn’t back away.
But here’s where people are either missing things or being intentionally obtuse, Green lost all benefit of the doubt when he continually kicked guys in the groin leading up to the playoffs and through the playoffs. He should’ve been suspended for the Adams shot and wasn’t. That was like his final warning.
That play happens to anybody else and nobody cares, but Green continues to find himself in those situations and suspending him was the right move. If they don’t, he’s never going to stop. He may never stop anyways, but they’ve got to try. Suspend him two games in the regular season and he won’t care. Suspend him now when it hurts.
Green has no benefit of the doubt anymore, and it’s not that hard to not swipe your limbs near other guys’ junk. He might not have hit LeBron, but it’s a scrum and Draymond keeps getting involved in scrums.
Now the LeBron "hater" in me says of course the league’s other agenda is to protect James and extend the series and the desire to keep the series going probably was something of a cherry on top making the decision even easier.
It’s pretty simple for Green. Stop picking up techs and flagrants and you don’t have to worry. It’s not that hard. You can be intense and fiery without picking up flagrant fouls.

Magic JordanParticipantSo suspend him at the appropriate time, when the incident took place. Don’t compact the initial mistake of not suspending him (For the Adams play) by then suspending him in the NBA FINALS!!! when he did nothing flagrant.
I don’t necessarily believe that there was an agenda to benefit Lebron so much as it is to generate more money by hopefully having more games. But if people can’t see right through that then nothing anybody says will matter.
Ultimately it’s in the past, but if you believe that what Draymond did (not what he has done in the past) was flagrant than you are either A) Blind. B) A Cavs fan. C) A Pussy. I believe most of what we are seeing falls somewhere in the B and C categories, though it isn’t unreasonable to think that some people fall into both.

nill650Participantclarification needed , naive is when someone is under the impression that they are not being fooled by someone, you clearly know Green is doing these things and so do I , don’t con me.

SubZeroParticipantAgain, like has been said a million times, because Draymond has a history of this, it had to be done. I don’t know if you just aren’t paying attention to the facts or what, but they gave him the same thing they did when he kicked Adams (the 2nd time, mind you, and not even when he DDT’d him later on). They didn’t suspend him solely for the hit, they just gave him another flagrant and it added up. He had this coming, and there’s really no defense to be made for him. It’s not coincidental that he’s the only one out here kicking and hitting guys below the belt and above the neck almost every game.

nill650Participantyup, so many green apologists apparently even from non gsw fans. really surprising how much he gets away with and how stupid someone would have to be to defend his actions as if they didnt have malicious intent.
