ForTheWinParticipantWith only 30 hours til the draft, I have a few qeustions.
Why is everything leading up to this draft, by this I mean why are teams waiting til draft day to make thier trades?
Will all the trades go through on draft night or like last year will all trades need to be finalized on Jul 7( I ask this because of the unfortunate lockout)
This question is more about stratergy- Why are the T-Wolves even considering 2nd pick for Bynum. Bynum is a 24 year old injury prone center! That would be a major blow for the wolves , and cmon now how much better is Bynum than Darko that they go and waste away a potential franchise helping pick!

"all the trades" have never been completed on draft night….tomorrow wont be any different0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/22/2011 - 7:09am #549404

Why did this one come out like this?…Anywho, Bynum is very good when hes healthy, definetly better than Darko. Minnesota has enough young players…they’re trying to get older…too many young players, they need to bring in more experienced players and starting winning..0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/22/2011 - 7:10am #549401
providencefriars1Participantcmon you seriously think that Bynum is close to Darko in ability.

ForTheWinParticipantDarko has greater ability than Bynum IMO. You’ll see by the end of thier careers whose hoisted more trophies and been to more All-Star games.

JNixonParticipantLol Darko? Is that you? Go take your anti-depressants, log off nbadraft.net, and go work on your post game.

ForTheWinParticipantI’m just saying Darko has promise in his future and Bynum has a lot of rehab and losing in his.

MagikKnickParticipantDarko’s had "promise in his game" for 8 years now….
Does this so-called promise have an expiration date?

ForTheWinParticipanthat if it really does pan out for Darko? I think its realistical if a few more good moves are made, then the T wolves will be a perennial playoff team who will win championships with Darko as thier center.

dodgerParticipantDarko vs. Bynam debate is very one-sided. Bynam is a far more skilled center, has more to bring to the table and more experience as a winner. With all this said, I think if you look at numbers, you could manage with Darko if your last piece to figure out was center. For the sake of conversation, if you were to add Darko to Oklahoma City or Philadelphia, I don’t think he changes their records for better or for worse. Perkins and Hawes might be able to offer more , but Darko could give you equal production. On Minnesota he sticks out because they don’t have the other 4 spots figured out.

brennenrundParticipantAre you kidding, have you watched both Darko and Bynum play ever? I’m pretty sure Bynum has "hoisted a trophy" and he’s younger than Darko. What makes you think a journeyman center, with no distinguishable skills will be able to turn his career around and be an all-star who leads his team to the title? Bynum aside from being injury prone (common for a man of his size) has great footwork and good hands, he also seems to always be able to get under the basket for putbacks and easy dunks, whereas Darko simply stands about 12 feet from the hoop shoots jumpers or tries to back down sheepishly before passing out to one of the weak jump shooters on the Wolves. This should never be a legitimate argument maybe Bynum for two isn’t the most shrewd trade ever, but Bynum is a guarantee to produce and change the dynamic of the team Derrick Williams isn’t especially with Michael Beasley on the roster (a player Williams compared himself to).

Allen_Iverson_3Participantlmao. You omitted to say that Brian Scalabrine was the best NBA player and that Matt Howard was going #1 tomorrow. Are you kidding me? Comparing Bynum to Milicic is like comparing apples to oranges… And no unless Darko is surrounded by LeBron, D-Rose, Wade, Nowitzki and that Durant and Kobe complete the rotation, the TWolves will not be champions with him as their center.
Note: i like being excessive to show that your argument is not valid

Jlv2011alot closer than you think. Plus I lost all respect for Bynum after his "trust issue" comments in the playoffs and cheapshot on Barea.

BallinlikeMJ23ParticipantForget the #2 pick, if they’re equal then why not do a straight up trade Darko for Bynum……
Because the Lakers aren’t stupid, they would laugh in your face. Bynum hasn’t reached his potential and is still a lot better than Darko.

aamir543Participant@ Mr.bigshot, when healthy Bynum has been the second best center in the league, you are right on, and this guy who is saying Bynum’s career might be ruined by injuries, he might be right. All I know is that a 70% Bynum gives me more than Darko ever can and will.

dodgerParticipantIn the NBA there are maybe 4-5 centers to being with. Being the 2nd best or the worst means nothing. Jamal Magloire , Vin Baker , Ben Wallace have all made an All Star team as a center. Bynum has never made an All-Star team. The Lakers should call Miami about Magloire’s availability. Wasting money on the 2nd best center is exactly that, a waste, you can get by with Emeka Okafor, Marcin Gortat, Nenad Kristic, Joel Anthony, Ronny Turiaf, even dare I say it, Darko Milicic.
Being the best center in the NBA is like winning the special olympics, even if you win, you’re still a retard.
