I have a feeling there will be alot of movement at this year’s draft and I would like to hear people’s predictions.  There are some big names being thrown around that have been going on since before the trade deadline like Paul George, Jimmy Butler and Carmelo.  But I am more interested in hearing some of the names not being discussed that teams may look to move like Jordan Clarkson or Jonas Valanciunas.

For example, I have a suspicion that a player like Drummond may be available around the draft.  A report indicated that Detroit may be looking to trade thier 12th pick for veteran help but a bigger deal with Phoenix involving Eric Bledsoe might make sense for each team.

sac loves Fox and if LA passes on Fox for JAckson or Ball Sac will try to make the trade of 5 and 10 for 3 to get Fox. ( and gets Okafor as well) ships out Skal & or ? Philly takes Tatum at 5 and Kennard at 10. * Kennard dominated his proday showing elite athleticism and skyrocketing his stock as a potential defender at the next level.

Detroit likely trades out, along with Denver in the late lottery.

    Portland trades up

2nd round boston, philly & possibly Utah use picks as trade outs for futures

Philly might try to trade into late 1st. or just sell some picks.

Kings aren’t trading both lottery picks for Fox, and they aren’t shipping out Skal

definitely are considering trading 5 and 10 according to reports and Bryan is willing to trade 3. For one it’s the Kings for two some consider fox that good and a true franchise player. I for one believe it would take more than just 3 and perhaps a throw in of oak.

lb you have been misinformed , skal is a wasted roster spot for the next 2 years anyway, they would gladly move him & there is no question Fox is their top target, so unless you think he is falling to 5. they will try to trade up.

Kings get 7, Meyers Leonard, and Pekovic.

    Wolves get 10, 20, and 46.

    Sixers get 34.

    Blazers get 39 and Afflalo.

Kings can get Fox/Isaac or Tatum/DSJ with 5 & 7. Wolves dont own a 2nd rounder so this gives them extra picks. Sixers consolidates 39 and 46 while still owning 36, and 50. Blazers sheds salary and can waive Afflalo. They will still own 15 and 26.

There’s no way the T Wolves make this trade and get more picks. They don’t need more young players. I could see them package the 7th pick, Rubio, and Lavine for Butler. They need rebounding and shooting. NOT more young players.

There is a significant drop of talent outside top10,so it makes sense for late lottery teams like detroit to move out. Kings having 5 and 10 plus a trigger happy front office means more action  and philly should be interested in any offer coming from sac town. Of course the biggest question is what do Boston do with their assets?  Being a fan, Id like them to draft and keep Markelle Fultz, he and Isaiah will complement each other very well, IMO.

I expect Toronto to target a trade with the Hornets or the Lakers for Valanciunas as both teams lack a qaulity Center. The Lakers trade would hopefully be based around Clarkson and the Hornets trade would hopefully be based around thier draft pick but I doubt that would be on the table when looking from Charlottes perspective althought MKG or Williams would likely be expendable. Toronto would also be trying to save money by making these trades but its easier said then done.

Lakers trade Clarkson, Brewer, Houston 2017 1st round pick (#28) (maybe leave out Brewer to save $7-Mil add Nance?, more picks?)

    Raptors trade Valanciunas, Nogueira, Joseph

    ————————-

Hornets trade Williams or MKG and 11th

    Raptors trade Valanciunas and 23rd

    —————-

Realistically though I doubt even Valanciunas has this kind of value because teams trading Centers have not gotten much back although Valanciunas hits free throws, still has upside as a shooter and has been underutilized in Toronto’s offense on a winning team so he maybe able to get them a decent return.

    Are these unreasonable expectations?

Wow… you really think highly of Valanciunas don’t you?  Because I sure don’t.  No way either of those teams would take those trades for such an antiquated player.  So in summation, yes… those are unreasonable expectations.

I would personally do Clarkson for Bruno, Nogueira and the 23rd

I think Portland’s coming off at least 1 of their 3 first rounders.  I think this crop of bigs is going to be impossible to project with some lotto projected players dropping to the late first or even second and vice versa.  I think a playoff team is going to trade up into the early first to snag somebody that slipped

A more specific prediction: I think Jordan Clarkson and deng or mozgov will be moved on draft night for picks and/or expiring contracts.  I could even see Deng and JC being traded to Portland for Crabbe and pick(not necessarily a first rounder). As a lakers fan, I’d like to see that deal happen and LAL throw in #28 overall to get that 15th pick, but I bet it’d be more likely they get their second first rounder.

I think Semi Ojeleye and Wesley Iwundu are both going to sneak into the late first as well bc of their potential to contribute right away while still having considable upside

Who in there right mind would give you “picks and/or expiring contracts” for Deng or Mozgov. The Lakers are stuck with both of them.

I said Jordan Clarkson AND Deng/Mozgov, read the comment dude.  Deng wouldnt be an awful fit and Allen Crabbe hasnt played up to his contract.  Clarkson and Deng plus #28 for Crabbe and one of their three first rounders isn’t that farfetched

I read and understood but Clarkson is not enough to make anyone take either of those contracts. Keep dreaming.

if it means getting rid of Crabbe’s arguably worse contract, I think they’d consider.  I can’t imagine Mozgov being in that deal, but Deng most certainly could be. Deng, JC and 28 for Crabbe and 26 isn’t a farfetched deal at all. Unless POR is still high on Crabbe, I didn’t investigate but can’t imagine them not regretting giving him $18mil/yr

Nope. Deng and Clarkson together is 30M. No one, and I mean no one, would take that on unless they were getting rid of close to the same amount.

                 Crabbe= 18mil+, Ezeli= 7mil, Myers Leonard=9mil/yr,turner= 16mil/yr, Harkless= 9.6mil/yr

Nurkic is due for a BIG payday, hes only set to make 2.9mil next year and POR can’t afford to gamble by not locking him in longterm.  They almost never get players of that caliber in free agency.  POR is going to have to unoad some of their awful contracts this offseason.  Deng fills a need at sf and as a stretch 4. Clarkson is young and a proven scorer.  I think the Trailblazers would at the very least entertain the idea.

Lol at a salary dump trade with the blazers when they’re the highest payroll in the nba.

They’re trying to dump contracts themselves and they’ll have to pay for it, it would be the same thing for you.

Nobody in his right mind is touching Deng or Mozgov, horrendous contracts, old, broken, 3 years left,

A trade i could see for the Blazers is 15 and 20 for the 11th pick, Hornets.

MJ really need bodies and he don’t have cap space, could still draft a solid SG, SF, an off guard, or a scoring bigmen like Collins.

Obviousy Portland would look to make the money work in their favor, I’m just talking about the crux of a potential deal.  Don’t tell me Crabbe, player(s?) x, 26 for Deng, JC, 28 is some sort of preposterous idea. Much crazier deals have happened in real life

Moves Ellis and Jefferson with 18th pick to create cap space and build around PG13 for the upcoming season.

Indiana moves Thaddeus Young for a late 2nd rounder for the same reason as above.

Lakers trade down to 5,  and still get Ball.

Hype bubble on Ball is popping.

(Honestly his father’s insane rambling is one of the only reason we are talking about him as much as we are)  with mutipule teams thinking Fox is the Better prospect. Ball could drop a couple of spots,  and the Lakers could get the player they (might) want + a additional top 10 pick.

There’s not a single double digit scoring bigmen in the roster, it’s a shame…and i don’t see any offense either(while scoring 108 a night with kids).

I’d take Valanciunas in a heartbeat for Knight, actually i d’take Carroll for Knight LOL(saving a year, lacking a SF).

A blockbuster suns-raptors, Valanciunas, 23th pick other contracts for Bledsoe + and/or Knight/Dudley/Chandler/Barbosa, choose your poison, raptors could save cap space in the process, not resigning Lowry.

Suns could trade with anybody in the east, Hornets MKG, Pistons Stanley Johnson and other contracts, all the old school bigs Vucevic, Valanciunas, Monroe.

They could trade for Tyler Zeller !!! as much as Melo(they could swallow his horrendous contract, fake ass PO contenders) or Love, maybe even Jimmy Butler(Bledsoe-Warren-4th ?).

There will be blood in the desert…

       Add bledsoe’s name here.

I’m not breaking the bank on a 31yo Hill averaging 3 assists for his career…

Sorry George, i’m not buying a career year in a contract year while missing 33 games.

Favors and one of their late 1st for Bledsoe…DEAL.
