He knows nothing about NBA potential or the pro game. I was very pissed when days before the draft last year he had Jrue Holiday going 3rd. Here are some of the highlights from his “big board:”

    The top 10:
    1. John Wall
    Ok.
    2. Derrick Favors
    No.
    3. Greg Monroe
“Has a Chris Bosh feel to his game.” Not remotely. Bosh has a refined offensive game but depends on his superior athleticism and quickness and loves to play facing the basket. Monroe isn’t half as quick, relying more on his high basketball IQ. The fact that they’re both 6-10 does not make their games similar. Of anyone, his boy Favors is the one with the more Bosh-like game.
    4. Evan Turner
    4?
    5. Wesley Johnson
Not gonna argue. Love his argument, though. Here’s a nice snippet: “Johnson doesn’t go by people, doesn’t really do a great job of posting up and holding position, but he is very long, can play two positions at both ends and recovers from mistakes with his with very good speed.” Sounds like a top 5 pick to me!
    6. Ekpe Udoh
    Interesting.
    7. Aminu
    Fair.
    8. Luke Babbit
    See what I’m getting at?
    9. Gordon Hayward
    Just ahead of…
    10. DeMarcus Cousins
Who is, in fact, a top 10 prospect according to Doug Gottlieb.

Doug, please just stick to analyzing college basketball…somewhere else

Beside the fact that you probably really hurt Doug Gottlieb’s feelings with that post, I dont think you really accomplished anything here.

I highly doubt he cares about anybody’s opinion on here much less a guy with Buckeye in his name-I’m guessing that is significant and that you are riffed about the Evan Turner ranking…which is valid maybe…but not needing of a ripping post.

I also doubt that he will stop making projecttions and go away…thats his job…get the frick over it

At the end of the day, I would bet that Doug Gottlieb makes more money and has more respect that 90% of the ppl posting on this website…so lets grow up and stop ripping a guy who has his own projections.

I lost money not listening to him. He said Kentucky wont get to the final 4 because they cant shoot treys. I went with the other analysts that said that Kentucy is so loaded that they cant lose. Maybe his college knowledge is good but his NBA might be off a little.
and btw he did have Holiday high up but he also had Jennings high up and look how that ended up

It’s just his opinion. And while I don’t agree with it, crazier things have happened. I expect Wall and Turner to go 1 and 2, but would it be outrageous for someone to fall in love with Derrick Favors in workouts and take the big man at 2? I don’t think it’s farfetched. I don’t like Monroe much as a prospect. I think he will be good from the beginning but not give much more during his career than he does his rookie season. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Babbitt and Hayward end up in the lotto but if I was GM of a team, I wouldn’t take one of them until about 20.

Favors has nothing close to a bosh type game. favors has no handles no jumper and very very limited post moves. he does everything because of his height and athletic ability ala chris wilcox

on top of that every guys who works for espn or other sports networks have had opinions that have been proven wrong
    barkley,jay bilas,coach knight,etc

    @Quincey

He said Greg Monroe had a Bosh type of game, not Favors.
