Douchebags of Twitter vs the Harrison Twins(foullanguage)
I agree with their anger but not their ill will towards them, it's sickening watching these guys follow the herd and not go elsewhere and make a path for themselves.I'm tired of watching cal prey on these kids by using their pro dreams as the reason they play for him and not for teachin them the fundamentals and the importance of an education and life after basketball. In reality most of them will not be a star or stick at the next level
There anger is wayyyyy unwarranted. Like I said before in other forums, were they mad when Dean Smith was bringing in recruits or when Duke was constantly having the best recruits as well as the best returning talent. Are they sending twitter bombs at students going to Yale,Harvard or M.I.T since they constantly get the smartest kids in H.S? How about Alabama in football or ESPN for being able to show the best games
i already posted this on one thread, but if you guys havent seen it, the dormitory might've played a big factor when it came down to their decision. you want to be comfortable where you are living and playing, and the UK "team" dorm is like no other.

you are wishing injuries are teenagers that you've never met, and will never meet. think about that for a while. the next time you take up for somebody sit back and think "i wish ill will and harm to kids. all in the name of basketball". be an adult for crying out loud.
A few things, actually. One, the topic is on those two kids. Two, those two kids play for Kentucky, the team that has apparently drawn your ire. Three, I'm not sure what "serious misfortunes" could mean besides injuries, since they're still about as talented as any other team.
serious misfortunes could mean a number of things, it's wrong for you to speculate that i wish injuries upon them...chemistry issues /scandals / recruiting violations (pshh thatd be the day) / fluke losses could all attribute to kentucky suffering serious misfortunes
I bet they are glad they chose Kentucky now... If those people were true fans of the players, they wouldn't react with such harsh words. The fans' true colors show now and it's clear they only wanted the guys theier to make their team better, not because they actually supported them. Like the fans, The boys are looking out for their own future just like they are supposed to do. Their goal is to win and get to the NBA. Their ultimate goal is not to get a degree. All of that talk about education and everything sounds good, but athletes all have the same goal, play pro and put your family in a better predicament financially. If you have to postpone education until a later time, so be it. Those fans have no class. Kentucky and Calipari will remain top dogs until someone knocks them off the throne, (it will happen eventually) I dont see the point in hating them.
The whole leave after one year criticism is overrated I think when people mention getting a degree. Just because a player leaves after one year doesn't mean they'll never get a degree. Athletes go back to school all the time and it's rare that someone with the ability to go pro actually wants to wait four years, get a degree, and THEN go to the NBA. If I had millions of dollars with my name on it, heck, I would leave early too.
And to play with for a program that's in the top ten every year? Why not play for them? I love UNC but if someone wants to play for Duke or Kentucky, it's their choice. Everyone has a different dream of how they want to reach the top and for people on Twitter to wish ill will upon these kids exposes the scum inside them and further proves these kids made a good choice.
