Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI think Kobe Bryant ( besides game 2) should be the Finals MVP. The man has carried this Lakers team with Odom, Gasol and Artest not playing well. Bynum gets a pass from me because he’s really hurt. Kobe is averaging 30-6-4 right now. Plus, did anyone see the 3rd quarter of Game 5? He put that team on his back. Had they played defense, they would have won it.
On the Other Hand
What does the Finals MVP award do for Rajon Rondo? Pre Finals MVP award, Chauncey Billups was just a alright PG. I understand alot of ppl are saying ” Well he had the big 3″ but besides Pierce, Rondo is creating shots for everyone. Garnett and Allen need Rondo to create shots for them.
What does it say? Top 5 PG? Me personally? I think he is the best all-around PG in the game and a Finals MVP soldifes it
Thoughts?

DanEboyParticipantHe is a very good PG but I will continue to say that those guys make life a lot easier for Rondo.
But when the ball is taken out of your hands at the end of games because of poor free throw shooting, he can’t be considered the best all around PG.

Michael.S.ParticipantDisagree on Kobe being Finals MVP. If his team loses he cannot win it because that means he didn’t play well enough to lead them there, which super-duper stars are supposed to do.
I agree on Rondo though.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI guess but then who is the best all around PG of all time then? Magic Johnson couldn’t defend a chair…
We have to take the good with the bad IMO.
BTW, before I lose points- I’m not comparing Johnson to Rondo and vice-versa

McWinningParticipantA finals mvp solidifies it . Does that make Tony Parker the best pg of the last ten years or so? he dominated when they won their title, also i dont think hes a lock, him and Pierce are about equal, all matters who has the best game (or games), i think hes definitely not number one, in my opinion he falls between 4-6, not better than Williams, Rose, and Paul, and Nash in my opinion.

McWinningParticipantJason Kidd was. Hes a lot like Rondo, except a way better shooter, and a little bit better at everything else (in his primes).

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantTony Parker won a Finals MVP against LeBron James and the carcassed he carried on Cleveland.
Rondo would have won it against a top 10 all time player with Gasol, Artest, Odom and Bynum
Big Difference.

malikballerParticipantif the lakers can take the series to 7 games..and kobe has another big game then yeah i think he could be considered for finals MVP even if the lakers lose the 7th game….he has had a great finals and carried his team when every1 one else has been sleeping
if rondo wins finals MVP i dont think he would be considered the best all around pg…the dude plays with 3 hall of famers…he cannot shoot…he would be top 5 or maybee even top 3 considering steve nash is getting reall old now i dont think he will be that great next season..hopefully im wrong tho…but styll i think he cud be up there behind cp3/deron tho…

sheltwon3ParticipantIf it goes to game 7 then you have to give it to Kobe no matter what because Celtics are winning by a team effort. The bench deserves Mvp more than Rondo.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI dunno if the bench is more valueable then Rondo
15-8-6 is alot.

McWinningParticipantactually its 14-7-6.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantStill 14-7-6 is amazing. Those are Finals MVP type numbers

JNixonParticipantIf the Celtics win, Rondo will be MVP. He’s been the best player on Boston this series hands down.
Otherwise, it’s Kobe.

SDEParticipantPeople be hatin on Rondo real talk i kno im a Rondo fan but if boston win he will win finals MVP.
best all around no he comes in second behind D Will ; Top five of Course. If he wins, thats Two rings, finals mvp.
Best Pg in the league depend on what you want: Dwill- all around best ; Rondo-can’t shoot but the best at everything else. Rose-he’s good but still riding that potenial tag, CP3- great pg but D.Collison did the same thing.
