Well, Rose just limped off to the locker room and could not put any weight on his right leg. After getting the ball stolen from him, he was simply planting his foot to pivot in order to get back on D, and he is injured again. No indication on the severity just yet but from his reaction, facial expressions, and movement, it might be bad again. Another injury with no contact, yikes.

But don’t panic Bulls fans. Try to find the positive in everything.

    1. Boozer will be finally be amnestied after this year. A report from Marc Stein stated that the Bulls will either amnesty Boozer, trade Taj, or let Deng walk in order to avoid the penalty. We have been hearing that this will be year they amnesty Boozer for several years now. Many people think that Lou will demand too much for the Bulls but they value him too much and I just have a feeling that marriage is not ending for a few more years. Dropping Boozer will allow them to reach a deal with Deng, along with giving Butler around 8 mil soon.

    2. Mirotic is coming to town. Real is 5-0 behind Mirotic. Along with the Boozer amnesty rumors for the past several years, this is also suppose to be the year Nikola makes his way over.

    3. Charlotte isn’t that bad. With a real coach and a cast of solid players, the Bobcats shouldn’t be a bottom of the barrell team, giving their pick to the Bulls. This should be a late lotto pick in a very, very loaded draft.

    4. The Bulls have not looked great by any stretch of the imagination this year. With a chance of Rose being out for an extended period of time, their own pick becomes even better. Sure they will still be a good team behind Thibs and the D, but they are not winning the chip this year like several people predicted, even with Rose. Two good picks in 2014 is something to be excited about.

I don’t know. I am just trying not to cry at this point……

A lot of people fearing another torn ACL! Unreal. Scratch everything I said in OP. Franchise changer. Wow.

I’d be shocked if it was an ACL tear. IF it is, there’s no way it’s a complete tear… Maybe a partial like what Rondo had last season. I think it may be a meniscus tear with maybe a bone bruise.

Regardless… It sucks. You have to wonder if this is a result of the hamstring injury? Are his quads too strong and there’s an imbalance between his quads and hamstrings?

Feeling for D. Rose. His psyche is about to be F’d.

Looking at the instant replay, it’s just hard to believe it’s a torn ACL.

This is really sad. If it’s really a serious injury will be seen but I really have my doubts that Rose is strong enough mentally handle two ‘weak’ knees and all the media pressure from now on. There will always be concerns about his durability and mental situation from now on.

The Bulls need to find answers very soon and the scenarios above are pretty much very realistic to me.

I wish D-Rose nothing but the best cause he is such an incredible player but the fact he has this fat contract doesn’t make it easier to build a contender.

Lets just wait until we know for sure what it is before we start guessing. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, but lets just pray it isn’t another ACL tear.

Rose is an amazing athlete and dam good basketball player BUT he’s built to play at a break neck pace and his elite level explosiveness is going to began to deteriorate very soon and very fast…

I feel like we’ll be witnessing the Death of a Superstar’s career very soon, Steve Francis all over again IMO…

For the people thinking the Bulls will rebuild through this Draft, wake the hell up, The Bulls are too good, they have a great Head Coach and talent from 1 to 5 on the floor with or without Rose, they’ll still make the playoffs and draft in the 24-30 range again, Boozer isn’t going to be waived, Deng is not going to be resigned, Butler will take over for Deng and the Bulls will just try to find a few pieces late in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the draft…They’ll be a 3-8 seed for the next 4 years either way…

In a weird way, I hope the Bulls get Melo.

Granted I’ve never been his biggest fan, but we need the best player we can get and he is going to be that guy. I didn’t think he’d leave NYC but that team looks like a disaster right now. If they amnesty Boozer, let Deng walk, and possibly trade Gibson, they would have enough cap space to sign a big free agent since Rose and Noah would be the only two guys making any real money on their team. If Mirotic comes over, and they were to receive the Charlotte pick, now they would have a lot of ground to build around.

So now you have Butler, Melo, Mirotic, and Noah, plus you can add someone in the Rod Hood, Wayne Seldon, Glenn Robinson range as another player to build around, and then eventually (maybe) get Rose back. Now you’re fresh for the next few years with a new nucleus and some new hope if nothing else.
