boxn1ParticipantWas this a "mutual" decision for him not to return, or did he just not sign back???

Melo2Amare1ParticipantI heard Chris Mullen and Allan Houston…two good replacements….Houston was mentored by Walsh and Mullen did a great job with the Warriors I thought. Both could find the right talent to surround Melo and Amare with.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantDuck Folan!
lets see how long it takes for Isiah to promise Dolan, Chris Paul, and then take credit for getting Amare, joining the Knicks.
Isiah Has Blackmail Pics of Dolan, of this I am sure!

Melo2Amare1ParticipantDude they are obsessed with each other, no joke. Like the fact that this man completely ran the franchise into the ground, made a mockery of the team, and was sued for sexually assaulting and was STILL a "consultant" in the Melo trade boggles my mind. Ducking Folan man.
As far as D’Antoni….I’m not sure. I’d like to see what he could do with Melo and STAT for a full year but then again I would not be mad if they brought in Mullen as GM and Mark Jackson as Head Coach….NEW YORK, NEW YORK! (Jay-Z voice)

HitsterParticipantThe Knicks have Glen Grunwald now as Interim GM and he had many years front office experience at Toronto and also Mark Warkenstein a former Executive of the Year was hired as a consultant so they have decent experience in the front office as well as Allan Houston who they could promote as well.
But with Walsh still apparently being a Consultant, Dolan having his own ideas and Thomas reputedly still having Dolan’s ear then there could be a lot of voices in that front office.
Coach D’Antoni only has a year left on his deal so could demand an extension fairly soon and if the Knicks don’t really push on next season then he may look to move on and with possible front office issues he may not want to get involved in all the politics.
Walsh is now 70 years old so him taking a lesser role isn’t a surprise but I do wonder if Dolan has been meddling again.
