Doncic to Sacramento

Seemed like he was always destined to get selected by Vlade Divac. Sacramento got the 2nd pick and will likely pick Doncic with Ayton going 1st to the Suns.

How much success do you see Doncic and Sacramento having. Can he coexist with Fox?

Fox needs to work on his jumpshot. Bogdanovic will probably benefit from playing with another high IQ player. I feel like they should move on from WCS hes very inconsistent and has too much of that Cousins energy.

Kings have no pick next year

Kings have no pick next year so they will be trying to build a team to compete immediatly led by Doncic. No pressure.

He's gotta be decent trade

He's gotta be decent trade bait. 24 years old shot 43% from 3pt as a sophmore on one of the worst teams in the league. At the very least he's proven he can be a 3pt specialist in this league for a longtime. JJ Redick type upside.

That he can remain in the

That he can remain in the ideal role for him which is 6th man. My question is how good can Doncic be without ball in hand given Fox needs the ball to be effective & Bogdanovic likes to create himself as well, so how will thry fair.

My sources are saying the Suns are going to take him 1 overall and that this was managements plan from the beginning.

It’s certainly possible. I

It’s certainly possible. I was beating the drum all last season that Jackson was going to bust. He looked terrible this year. I would unload him while he still has marginal value.

How is jackson

How is Jackson a bust? I'm still sure the Suns are heavily invested in him to develop into a star player

Doncic to be the #1

Yeah, looks like Doncic was the planned pick to date. The Suns spoke about Doncic and Ayton being the two main options, stating the coach had an opinion and so did the staff. After McDonough was told Josh Jackson said he wanted Ayton, McDonough was quoted as saying "I was hoping itd be unanimous (chuckles).. we have a decision to make then."
This means they want Luka, so I expect thats the move.. Its a great lineup if Luka is given the ball -

Booker Jackson Warren Doncic and a big man

Very switchy...

I'm all aboard the Doncic #1

I'm all aboard the Doncic #1 train... I strongly beleive he is the most complete prospect in this draft. This will give Booker/Jackson the PG presence they need in Phoenix. I also beleive this will allow Sacremento to pair Ayton with Fox. This will allow these two to progress next season without tanking, since they dont have their 2019 pick. There is obviously plenty of time to analyze these prospects and change opinions, however at the moment I see Doncic as the franchise-changing, ball-dominant PG that the Suns need moving forward.

Everything I've seen in

Everything I've seen in recent weeks points to the Suns taking Doncic #1. First they hire Kokoskov, then the report comes out that they're targeting Clint Capela as their #1 priority in FA, then the McDonough quote.

Doncic is very good but

as much as I like him, I would not pick him over the crop of talented big men, particulary Ayton and Bamba.

Talented big men are a rare breed and there are still questions about Doncic' ability to defend. It would be interesting to see what the Suns and Kings will do.

1st pick

I don't think Ayton is the overall consensus top pick. Not yet. Doncic is still in play for the top pick and the Suns' hiring of Kokoskov just helped his stock.

This would be a typical Kangs move if they did this..

If Ayton is gone I hope they don't take Luka.

The Kings drafted Fox,Brought over Bogdan and Traded their star player for a pick and Buddy Hield...

If they take a 4th guard that would be such a waste of a pick...But it wouldn't surprise me as that would be a total Kangs thing to do lol

Their best move is either trade down and get another asset + a reasonably high pick so talk to teams like : Dallas,Orlando,Memphis or Atlanta..For example they could get Harrison barnes and the 5th pick for 2nd and a average/bad contract, then take a look at Bamba,Bagley,Porter and any other wing/forward that will be an upgrade over what they have..This way they don't end up with a Suns situation- I.T,Dragic,Bledsoe and a standoff between their key young players..

As for trading one of their guards though:

Fox you just took him and that would look pretty bad giving up on him already as you only took him last season.

Bogdan looked solid so he is probably the safest out of all of their guards.

Buddy hield if you trade him while his value is low that Cousins trade will look even worse than it already does.
