Good job James, as for Walsh’s successor I think he wants to hire Chris Mullin….he loves Mullin and Mullin is very respected in the league and I think will be able to keep up what walsh has created

I think we fail to realize how important the front office is to winning an NBA Championship if Dolan jus lets Walsh and possibly Mullin do what they need to do then the Knicks have a bright future….also

O’Antoni is gonna hire a defensive assisstant and I think he should get Mike Brown why?….what coach knows LeBron better than Mike Brown…The road to a title goes through Miami the next 7-9years so New York has to make this move

    Monta Ellis <<only good pick
    Patrick O'Bryant
    Marco Bellineli

I like Mike Brown as our defensive assistant but (for some reason unbeknowst to me) teams are interested in him in a head coaching capacity. I don’t think he’d settle on being an assistant if he has the opportunity to be a head coach. In either case, Doc Rivers will be a free agent in 2012 and I think the Knicks might be able to sign him; which would likely result in our assistant coaching staff being overhauled anyway.

As for Chris Mullin, I liked him initially as Walsh’s successor but he does suffer from Isiah Thomas-syndrome. His draft record is a bit overrated (as other posters have alluded to) and he has had a penchant for overpaying players. With the Knicks angling to get a 3rd star, I think that the logical candidate to succeed Walsh should be Kevin Pritchard. We won’t have much money to work with in the future and Pritchard has shown to be an excellent talent evalutor in the draft. Hiring him would ensure continuity from our current core players (Melo, STAT and soon-to-be CP3) to our younger players when we decide to rebuild/retool.
