ChrisCrossParticipantBig talk of Houston trading their 14 and 16 picks and Lowry and whoever else to move up and get 2 top 10 picks then trading those to Orlando for Dwight Howard. For entertainment purposes I’d love to see this, and I’d love to see Dwight in Houston and the Rockets getting a franchise Center, they’re just not right without one. Hakeem & Yao. Orlando would get a chance to rebuild with two top 10 picks.
It sounds like this.
Houston trades Lowry & #16 to Toronto for #8
Houston trades Morris, Montejunas & #14 to Sacramento for #5
Then Houston tades #5 & #8 to Orlando for Dwight Howard
So line up for 5 teams look something like this
Houston
PG: Dragic
SG: Martin
SF: Parsons
PF: Scola
C: Howard
Orlando
PG: Nelson
SG: Rivers #8
SF: Turkaglou
PF: Anderson
C: Drummond #5
Sacramento
PG: Thomas
SG: Thorton
SF: Evans / Harkless #14
PF: T. or P. Jones #14
C: Cousins
Toronto
PG: Lowry
SG: J. Lamb/ Ross #16
SF: Derozan
PF: Bargnani
C: Valacunis
eh?

ChewyParticipantif Houston gets Howard. But what if Howard doesn’t resign w/ him? It has been said (random articles from realgm.com) that Houston is the only team willing to trade for D12 without him signing an extension. Personally, I think Houston is forcing the issue too much because of the NBA blocked Gasol deal. They have great pieces and can make numerous trade offers with all the quality players they have.
I would make a new offer for Gasol: Lowery and 16th and Scola for Gasol.
Keep the 14th and draft BPA.

ChrisCrossParticipantbasically Houston trades Lowry, Morris, Montajunas, #14, #16 for Howard, not bad for Houston even with Howard only having 1 year.
Houston is willing to trade for Howard even he doesn’t extend beforehand, they biggest problem is if they can make those two moves to get the two top 10 picks, seems like a lot of hoops to jump through just to get a chance to get Howard so I’m not sure they’ll get through to get Howard.

220ParticipantI say that Houston doesn’t trade to get Dwight because I doubt he’d re-sign. They would want a guarantee and since it takes Dwight a long time to be sure of anything don’t expect it to happen…at least not by draft night.
