I have watched this kid play for the Cavs this year, and I am very impressed with his skills. He should be starting at the two for the Cavs, but him and Kyrie can't get along. I know he may have some attitude issues, but you can't deny that the kid can flat out ball!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reminds me of a young D-Wade. Fearless!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When his shot falls, he's tough to stop. He can score in a multitude of different ways and he shines when he attacks the basket because seeks out contact and like you said he is fearless. He's been playing more efficiently since the all-star game: 'Waiters was shooting just 39.6 percent from the field and 30.9 percent on three-pointers. Post-All-Star break, these numbers have improved to 46.8 percent from the field and 35.7 percent on threes. Because of this added efficiency, Waiters has seen his overall scoring rise from 14.2 to 16.9 points per game, despite not even increasing his shots.'
So yeah, good times and I'm glad to see he has the character to turn things around because he can be frustrating to watch at times. As for his relationship with Kyrie, it's all healthy stuff, just some overblown dribble by media.
Mike Brown said prior to this season that was one of his goals is to make Waiters a better perimeter defender, as he felt Waiters is more than capable of being the Cavs' Shumpert and he's improved a little on that end, he looks a lot more interested and Brown and the coaching staff deserves credit.
