SlimParticipantFor his sake, considering he was a No. 2 overall pick ahead of Deron Williams and Chris Paul, hopefully the highlight of Marvin Williams‘ career isn’t going to be that he was once traded for Shaq. As we posted this edition of Smack, reports were conflicting over whether the Hawks and Cavs are actually close to completing a sign-and-trade sending Marv to Cleveland for the Diesel; some said it was close to finished, while others said it’s not that close. If we’re the Hawks, though, we’re making the move. With a true center like Shaq, ATL can play a lineup with Al Horford at the four and Josh Smith at the three, which might have prevented them from getting ate up like baby shrimp by Dwight Howard in the conference semis …

Imaking6004ParticipantIf I was Marvin Williams, I’ll look at this as a fresh start, a clean slate. He has a chance to be the focal point in the LeBron depleted city. Right now Marvin has bust status, but this will give him a chance to prove everybody wrong. Even before the draft I was pushing Atlanta to draft Chris Paul after watching him in Wake Forest(I was a little kid back then.) And even I said they’ll make a huge mistake if they drafted a backup from UNC over a accomplished PG who would’ve filled a huge void during that time. Back on Marvin, if I was him I will look back on that day and try to have an Andrew Bogut turnaround type season.

paint intruderParticipantI would love to see that trade happen but Shaq won’t move Horford to the four, coach said.
Which I think is bullspit because it would make the have a pretty decent starting line-up.PG: Bibby (I don’t think Teague is ready)
SG: Johnson
SF: Josh Smith
PF: Horford

McWinningParticipantGreat trade for the cavs if true.
Who knows maybe the Cavs can get the eighth seed and beat Miami in the first round.
All they need to do is sign John Bryant and have him eat Lebron during a game.
