just to start, I have not seen the video myself and just stumbled upon this info a few minutes ago on espn in this article here: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15095276/dangelo-russell-center-los-angeles-lakers-rift-video-took-nick-young-made-public

apparently Deangelo Russell recorded a private one on one convo with teammate nick young that nick was unaware was being recorded in which Deangelo questions nick about cheating on his fiancé iggy azalea. The video then was released onto the internet for all to see.

apparently Russell is now being isolated from the rest of the team with guys actually getting up and leaving whenever he sits next to them. Regardless of how you feel about guys cheating, video taping them in the locker room in private convo’s and then releasing those convos onto the internet is a quick way to get guys to blackball you around the whole league.

Im a fan of russells, he has a ton of skill and is no doubt a big part of this teams future. But damn I hope this stuff aint true.

Well it’s likely true but so what? D’Angelo Russell is the long term investment, not Swaggy P, Lou Williams, or Byron Scott. Yeah it’s dumb and he should know better but Russell is 20 years old, still a year away from being able to legally drink in the US. I think it’s childish, immature, and shows a lack of leadership on the part of the "veteran" players, many of whom are close to if not already in their 30s. Young obviously did not expect to be recorded but maybe it’s better to keep your sexual exploits to yourself and not brag about cheating on your fiancee to a 20 year old. I wish Williams would have moved to another locker room completely at the trade deadline but no team in the league would trade for him, the reigning 6th man of the year on a bargain contract with the cap set to explode.

If I’m Mitch and the front office I’m cleaning house this offseason, Byron Scott included, with the exceptions of Russell, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance Jr.

so what? because locker room atmosphere and trust in each other is a big part of being a successful franchise. This has nothing to do with who has a more valuable role on the team.

As for Williams, did the lakers shop him? Do you have evidence supporting no teams are interested in him?

As for cleaning house for everyone except randle, Russell, Clarkson and nance, umm yeah that’s what the team is doing. Kobe is retiring, hibbert is a free agent that wont be back and the lakers would love to move young. Who else are they supposed to clean? Brandon bass who actually plays defense and hustles and makes a respectable dollar amount?

Actually, I have no evidence supporting any interest in him, which is just as good.

And yeah, a 20 year old rookie made a mistake, so what? Big deal. Apologize and move on. These grown men are holding a grudge against him and what type of trust or locker room atmosphere is it if they can’t see past the short sightedness of a 20 year old? Swaggy P and Lou Williams are perfectly suited for the Stretch Provision or being waived outright.

Because it’s just not a cool LIFE MOVE. This goes far beyond basketball, this is not him looking him off and not passing the ball, this is this man passing his life around!! This is his fiancée we’re talking about like STABILITY family SUPPORT, not a teenage crush. SO yes they have the right because you wouldn’t want your closet family member around you if they did something like that let alone someone you just play ball with! Come on these people are humans at the end of the day we only see MAX 10% of their reality. And Russell just potentially sabotaged the other 90!!!

Players are not likely to forget this soon..,

How do you suppose they gut their roster without addressing the 185 pound snitching ass elephant in the Room?

How do you move forward with a guy that should have 0 credibility going forward…

This guy is like a Water Gate whistle blower in the White House, Nixon resigned over that mess, a President stepped down from the oval office, an unproven rookie deserves no less than to be exiled to the Kings for the rest of his career IMO for a stunt like this..,

No way do you rebuild a franchise with a player that NO OTHER TEAMMATE SHOULD TRUST IN CONFIDENCE AFTER THIS, I dont know how else to say this, you wouldnt keep an employee who recorded his coworkers talking about sleeping around on their husbands and wives in a breakroom, you’d be fired and likely sued for invasion of privacy, but somehow an NBA athlete gets a pass for breaking cardinal workplace rules…

I dont care if I get negged, Russell should be indefinitely suspended by the Lakers and traded in the off-season, you have to set a standard and make an example out of this situation, you cannot let this become a normal thing especially in a place like Los Angeles where there is always a TMZ tabloid following, this wouldn’t be good for business longterm, this hurts team morale, chemistry and trust outside the organization, Free Agents have to look at your GM and wonder why there’s a RAT in the locker room, get the Exterminators in there Asap dammit Westbrook might want to come back home in 2017!!!

Agreed, this is one of the biggest no-no’s in the sports world.

No one is going to forget about it anytime soon.  He’s not going to enjoy his time on the Lakers for the rest of the season.

Lakers don’t need him. If I were a smart organization, I will always put my bets on a long-term investment. Yes, D’Angelo should not have recorded that (a minor punishment is enough). But I think it’s not really a mistake on his side (assuming he didn’t intend to spread it). He’s part of the future core, Nick or Lou Williams is not so basketball and business wise, it would be more ideal to be on D’Angelo’s side.

nobody with 1/10th of a brain would argue that swaggy p is more important to this franchises future then Deangelo Russell. That’s not even the issue here. And you don’t think he made a mistake? really? Ask 450 other nba players if they think Russell made a mistake and im guessing they would disagree with you.

      No just no,

He should never rat his boy/teamate/brother in arms in the NBA out like that. Other players will have a really hard time trusting him in the future. He should never spread what someone else is doing in their realationship. Mind his own damn business.

Reputation is important and Russell has heart his in the eyes of his teamates.

Wow I feel so bad for Swaggy P…… Can’t a man brag about cheating on his fiance in the privacy of his own locker room these days!

I understand D-Russell broked the bro code, but c’mon man is anyone really supposed to feel sorry for this scumbag? Plus he stinks at playing basketball, so cut him and the rest of his scrub teammates and build around D-Russ, Randle, Clarkson, and their 2016 first round pick.

I like Russell, but this is a sucker move.  What a punk.  I would have mopped him.  Even when I was 19 or 20 I wasn’t doing stuff like that.

Not quite sure how to feel about this as a Lakers fan.  Trying to avoid knee jerk reactions but I want players that will fight for their teammates on my favorite teams.  Not some little rat snitch.

    Love a good Lakeshow scandal.

I’m with the OP. We’ve all had conversations with mates that would land us in hot water if they went public. I wouldnt believe someone if they said they hadn’t. Its a total dog act by Russell. Gonna kill the Lakers…and Russell is going to regret it.

But in Hollywood, controversy creates cash.

Iggy will have a sure-fire hit on her hands and Nick Young remains relevent now that his NBA career is fizzling out. Swaggy P was never about basketball. Hes probabably got a clothing label or some $hit lined up that could use the publicity.

No-ones really gonna hate on Nick Young. People already expect this from him..so he gets away with it. Russell will be a locker room cancer his whole career now.

Russell is dead wrong for this, I would never trust this guy with anything ever again, absolutely no reason to record a teammate bragging about his sexual conquest unless you’re positioning yourself to rat on him due to jealously or insecurity

No one should want to surround themselves with this type of clown, because every guy in the NBA is likely to step outside his relationship during an 82 game season, I dont agree with it but it happens, who in their right mind wants Sir Snitch a Lot on the plane ride after a wild night in Vegas?

Most players in the NBA are going to relate to Nick Young moreso than Russell, all these guys have been in Nick Young’s shoes including Kobe who could have been railroaded had an idiotic teammate recorded him incriminating himself in the locker room…

Bottom line, I would never want this guy in my locker room after this, and I dont care if its seen as an overreaction, that is just unacceptable in team sports, he broke the #1 Rule of a Club house, the penalty should be exile, lets see if the Lakers brass as a pair of balls and moves him in the off-season, I honestly would part ways with him, what Free Agent wants to sign on to play with a RAT!!!??? What message do you send to the rest of the players in your locker room?

TMZ shouldn’t have access to your teammates secrets especially if they came directly from you deliberately recording him in the privacy of a Team locker room, all the more reason Teams should ban electronic devices in the locker room, they have state of the art facilities anyway LEAVE YOUR PHONE IN THE CAR…

I completely agree this is not just something that will change players perception of Russell in the Lakers lockeroom but also league wide. It isn’t something that’s just okay he will be known as the guy that flat out told on his teammate. Brutal. Something like that will resonate throughout the league. Time will likely heal this issue although the chemistry will definitely be effected and stunted. I would not want to spend an 82 game season with someone I can’t trust just to simply not tell on me if I do something wrong in my personal life.

Or maybe it was setup like a previous poster stated although Nick Young isn’t the brightest tool in the shed and I’m not quite sure he could pull off something like that.

I really hope there is some kind of explanation for this. As much as I want to believe in Russell as a guy that can eventually lead this franchise, an incident like this will set him back big time and it could hurt their chances of signing free agents. There is just a toxic culture surrounding this organization right now. Add this to the sexual harassment incident with young and Clarkson that happened recently. Its what happens when you put a lot of young players on a team with no real veteran leadership. It would be nice to see Kobe take some of these young guys under his wing and show them the ropes and how to be true professionals but thats just not Kobe I guess.

And while Nick young is the victim in this case (I guess), the guy is just a locker room cancer who sets a bad example for the younger guys. Lakers should look to trade him or just buy him out this offseason. He is clearly not worth the headache.

This is unreal.  I just watched the video.  I actually feel sorry for Nick Young.  You can hear Russell excitedly asking about Young’s personal life while Young is web surfing and watching TV.  Total b&tch move.

For people who don’t think that this is a big deal, you have probably never played competitive sports, or have been a member of a tightly knit group.  This is a major trust violation, and Russell really screwed up here.  It goes beyond immaturity.  He has broken a fundamental trust that is essential for trams to perform well together.

As for the Lakers, they will probably dump Young over Russell.  But the other teammates and NBA players are never going to trust Russell.  He is a grownup in a grownup world, and he has committed a cardinal sin by setting Young up like that.  Yes Young may be dirty, but this is about a violation of trust.  It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.  On a lighter note, this will make for a great First Take show.  I’m sure Stephen A is high-fiving Skip Bayless right about now.

First of all, you don’t know what goes on in his personal life.  What he does in his private life is between him and his wife.  You will appreciate that when you get a little bit more life experience.

Secondly, the issue here is the betrayal of trust by a teammate.  Young thought it was safe to share something with Russell and was videotaped and put on blast.  If you can’t understand how that unacceptable that is, then we are just coming from two different places.

This is a really odd situation, on one hand Russell is doing an honorable thing by outing a cheater, on the other hand it’s a complete breach in privacy and now no one on the team will feel they can trust him with any private information.

Obviously if it’s true Swaggy P can rot in hell for being a cheater, however Russell should have just showed the recording to Iggy instead of apparently posting it online for all to see, and then let Iggy & P work it out themselves.

I don’t think Russell did it because he was outraged that Nick Young would even think about cheating on his fiancé, considering most NBA players do the exact same thing. I just think he’s a young guy who thought a little too much of himself, got too comfortable, and tried to be funny

       And you’re completely wrong

D’angelo Russell isnt a White Knight here trying to protect Iggy Azalea’s honor, he’s a filthy little Rat who broke his teammates trust and confidence by secretly recording his deepest and darkest secrets(as far his relationship to IA is concerned)

Is Nick Young a tool bag for cheating on one of the most beautiful women in the world? YES!

Does that give anyone the right to privately record them in a hotel, plane, bus, parking lot, team locker room or anywhere else for that matter, its a HUGE DEAL…

He isn’t trying to do anything here but to completely throw a "friend and teammate" under the bus, and for what you ask…Iggy’s honor? Please! He most likely is jealous of Young and wants to appear like a "White Knight" by outing him as a cheater, and of course some women are going to approve of this bitch ass behavior because it outs a "Cheater"

If women hate anything more than a cheater please let me know, it seems like a guy can make his way back into everyone’s good graces quicker if he beats a woman than he could if he cheats on his wife-girlfriend

You can tell that i strikes a nerve with women, making everything they say afterwards seem biased and 1 sided…

There is no Halo to put on Russell’s head, no suit of White Armor either, infact I guarantee this little hypocrite has cheated on one of his girlfriend’s while away at College or on the road in his 1st NBA season, than to turn around and shit the bed like this…Its unforgivable in Sports…

BTW, nothing should make this behavior acceptable, he didnt try outing a child molester or rapist, he was deliberately trying to sabotage a "friends" personal life by recording this BS, The fact it has gone public-viral is the nail in yhe coffin IMO…

Nothing I said was bias, nor was I defending either of them because they’re both in the wrong.

If you actually read my post you would see that I said in a way it’s an honorable thing to out a cheater(in general), but it was also a massive breach in privacy to not only Young but no one on the team will trust him again.

The way in which he chose to out him was completely stupid, if he was wanting to be a "white knight" he could have simply shown the recording to just Iggy and not shared it with the world. I’m in no way defending how Russell handled the situation.

I’m not sure what your problem is with women but clearly you have one. I couldn’t care less about Iggy, I dislike her music and her personality so if you think I’m trying to defend her then you’re dead wrong.

Russell should have just let Iggy & Young sort it out, not leech it to the public.

I dont out cheaters or even consider it honourable…thats called sticking your nose in someone elses business…where it doesnt belong. You approach the cheater to voice your displeasure and leave it at that. Stop being their friend if you must…

It never ends well for the snitch anyways. In 100% of the cases….both the cheater and their partner will end up hating them.

The way the Lakers are handling this by isolating Russell from the rest of the team speaks volumes to the level of dysfunction in the organization right now. That is absolutely the worst thing that you can do in a situation like this. Nothing gets resolved and the resentment just builds and carries over.

On a team with strong leadership, this issue would immediately be dealt with face to face in closed door setting, where both sides were allowed to air out their grievances or attempt to explain their actions. Byron Scott should make this happen, first between young and Russell and then address it with the rest of the team. Of course you don’t want it to escalate to physical confrontation, so you have to be careful. However, to just ignore the situation completely and isolate Russell from the rest of the team only compounds the problem and is just not a good look.

Would you indefinitely suspend Russell and bar him from the arena-locker room until the off-season?

Because Swaggy has to want to wipe the floor with him, if not Swaggy than another teammate(this is how it works IRL, someone will have to kick his ass in the locker room or the team revolts)

Would you make the bold decision to save your locker room for the future and TRADE Russell?

It wont be a popular decision but it has to be better than leaving a TMZ tabloid journalist in your locker room for every prospective Free Agent to see…What does it do for the guys that remain in Los Angeles after this season(Randle or Clarkson wouldn’t want any part of Russell as a teammate)

You have enough people out there trying to tear down the average Athlete-Celebrity without having teammates doing it from within your organization…

What would you do if you were Mitch and Company?

Who in their right mind would say "TRADE Russell" and suggest suspending him from the team? That is probably the last thing any competent person would suggest. Maybe a friend has outed you in the past and your personal feeling is getting in the way of good judgement in assessing this situation.

This kid, 20 years old who cannot legally buy alcohol, made a foolish mistake but he didn’t kill anyone. The sky isn’t falling in Los Angeles. We have drafted well in the two seasons leading up to Kobe’s retirement and are in good position for the future regardless of whether or not we keep the pick this year. I’m looking forward to a season without Swaggy P and Lou and hopefully Byron.

I’m not gonna go that far. Remember the kid is only 19 and made a really dumb mistake. My gut feeling tells me this was just a practical joke on young that somehow ended up going public somehow. I don’t think the intention was to harm young in any way but in this age of social media stuff just has a way of finding its way into the hands of the wrong people. Regardless, it was a really dumb move by Russell. I was hoping when they drafted him that he would show more maturity but you have to remember how young he is and he hasn’t exactly been placed in a great situation around great mentors to start his career.

I don’t think Russell needs to be traded but he does need to be sat down, chewed out, and put in his place by his teammates and coaching staff. It needs to be made very clear that this behavior will not be tolerated and be needs to act like a professional from this point forward. I wouldn’t mind a suspension if thats what is deemed necessary to get the point across, but the issue just needs to be addressed in some way beyond isolating him from the rest of the team.

I agree it is immature and short sighted on Russell’s part but those two adjectives should probably be part of the definition regarding teens/underaged kids. So we sit him down and say what? Don’t put your 30 year old adult teammates on blast for cheating on their spouse? Don’t use social media/smartphones in the same manner that everyone else your age is doing, because you are now a celebrity? Fair enough.

I’d maybe bring in some real veterans next year, ones who don’t cheat on their spouses or at least ones who don’t brag about cheating on their spouses to 20 year old kids. Ones who don’t eat at another table when an immature kid makes a mistake. Tough love is one thing but alienation and acting like teenagers when you are 30+ year old NBA veterans with millions of dollars is another.

If Russell has done that then it is wrong but he may be lucky as the franchise is in rebuild and if he has alienated the locker room a lot of those guys may not be around next season. If he has issues with guys like Randle, Nance, Clarkson then it becomes interesting as these guys are long term guys. Imagine if he had done it to someone like Kobe though even if it is Kobe’s last season, if Kobe had gone public on it then Russell may have lost a lot of support from the fans.

Lots of NBA players have high profile partners and any disscussions about them should be kept private. I believe that Russell may be fortunate as there isn’t a lot of senior pros at the Lakers who could make life difficult for him and with Coach Scott maybe moving on then if the Coach wanted to make an issue of it the player would have major problems.

I’ll just put this idea out there, the Lakers may listen to realistic offers for Russell this summer especially if they get a shot at Simmons or Ingram. Lets say they get 1st or 2nd pick and Philly gets 3rd/4th pick for example, there might be a deal there.

We know LA had some moves to make, they have a Draft and Free Agency to think about, do you draft Brandon Ingram only to have him not want to play with a guy who just ratted on a teammate in this manner?

What about prospective Free Agents? Does Demar Derozen or Hassan Whiteside want their business put out there by a 2nd year player? Something like this is a bigger deal than people are making it out to be, in the age of social media every player in NBA and NCAA will be privy to this information, who wants to walk into a locker room and see Russell’s face starring back at you?

What free agent wants to play with a guy like, these guys are likely married and could stand to lose HALF their net worth if someone were to expose them like Russell has Young, he was only engaged, imaging if they were married and she divorced him over this, every dollar he’s made in his career would be up for grabs if a prenuptial agreement wasn’t in place…

Every man in the NBA has had a momemt of weakness, the days of AC Green are long gone, there are even more distractions and temptation due to social media and technology being so advanced, a woman can know google a players name and find out his net worth, so there is no shortage of mistakes to be made by All parties involved…

With all that information out there, do you keep Russell around for the rebuild, a rookie like Ingram will want to sue his royal oats and play the field once he gets into the NBA, Im sure he’s enjoying life on Duke’s campus but he’s going to want to step his game up, right…What happens if the Lakers draft him and he looks at Russell like really, why is this dude still here…

IMO, the Lakers have an easy choice to make, trade Russell ASAP, Draft Ingram or Simmons and sign someone like Derozen and Whiteside to help lure Westbrook back home in 2017…Dont ruin the reputation of your Front Office any further and poison your locker room by keeping a 20 year old informant/cancer…

Very good points as always Scarecrow and as I said he’s very lucky he did it in that current dressing room. Let’s say Nick Young had happened to be a tight mate of any team’s franchise player and Russell could have been in even deeper water than he is now.

Very good points about possible FA’s not wanting Russell around, let’s say KD gives the Lakers a visit and indicates he MAY move there but doesn’t like the "locker room dynamics" with Russell there. Then Russell would be out of LA faster than Trump wants to send illegal Mexicans back home.

The Lakers problem is that Russell may not be welcome in a lot of locker rooms so they may not get full trade value for him. The one good thing the Lakers may have is that a car crash franchise might take Russell and if they sent a star player back then Russell could find himself out of LA.

On a lighter point, did Nick and DeAngelo discuss Kobe being -43 against the Jazz. I bet Kobe has never been that much in the negative in his whole career. And after that humiliating loss this was the last thing the Lakers wanted.

Yes, Russell was dead wrong for doing this, but honestly I don’t think he had malicious intent. It was sorta like a prank. He was basically recording Nick without him knowing, but I don’t think he knew what Nick was gonna say. The rook has to learn that he’s a celebrity and anything he posts to his social media accounts will be recorded by someone. He took a major L here. Hopefully his teammates forgive him sooner or later. This was bad. Bad because of the info Swaggy P gave. If the convo was about nothing, this would’ve never been a factor. He’ll learn though.

Nah no excuse, what are you recording him for? This isn’t even an issue of him being only 20 and young like you guys are making it out to be. If any of you guys played a team sport you know you don’t ever out your brother; whether you are a sophomore in high school or 18 year vet in the NBA . This is your family, you’re with them more than your blood relatives in the course of the year, so why would you even try to play with their personal life?

The conversation wasn’t even comedic or something anyone would think is funny so I have no clue what DRuss was going for. What he did was lame, he should be forgiven because everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you learn. But, he’s very wack for what he did and it’s going to follow him for the rest of his career.

How Nick Young’s fiance reacts to this will be key in how it effects D’Angelo Russell’s view in the NBA circle, if their wedding plans are called off and they break up, most likely DRuss will be looked at as a rat for a well part of his career. This is just unheard of, a player recording his teammate saying he’s cheated on his girl. NBA in 2016, crazy.

I don’t think anyone is going to be concerned with the fact that D’Angelo Russell recorded and, subsequently, let a video he recorded of the laughing stock of the NBA, Nick Young, leak. I personally could care less and so should the fans. In general, most players likely won’t be bothered by it unless they were involved with the situation directly.

Let it be a lesson to those in the league, such as Russell, that anything you say, write, or record can go public. A lesson in maturity and growing up. Something Swaggy P will be lucky to learn one day.

You’re out of touch with society then, so I’m gonna keep it real with you. Yall can neg me all yall want but this is how it works.

Us young black men have a speific code we operate by, we don’t mess with no one who rats people out to females. Just straight like that. Another man who is willing to rat us out to females is not a good look and we see them as an enemy. Now, that just applies in normal everyday life, now imagine that your infidelity that is usually looked as normal to us everyday men, is now out to the national media. How do you think the rest of the league is going to feel about that?

There’s a reason why Lou Williams became a national sensation last year after it was found out he has two girlfriends who knew about each other and are okay with it, he had songs, posters and had all the clout.

D’Angelo Russell is going to catch major flack for this, if he isn’t some how cleared for this he’s going to get looked at as a "B*tch" honestly.

If you don’t think everywhere around the league the players have numerous amounts of women then I guess I need to live under the same rock you do.

Glad to know we have the emperor and self-proclaimed spokesman of black men giving his two cents on the forum.

Lou Williams isn’t a national sensation, he’s having a garbage year on a bad team. As for having two girlfriends, that’s his decision and the women involved’s choice to stick around. But I’d guarentee you Bieber pulls in more tail than Lou.

I’m a child but you don’t see me trying to frame my perspective in an argument using "grown ass child bruh" and "funny af". I could care less about the "hottest rapper", which is pretty subjective, making songs about Lou Williams. If you’re rapping about Lou Williams having 2 girlfriends, I ain’t listening and I don’t care. Nas, Tupac, KDot, etc., we can have a discussion. And if you think music is about culture, you’re wrong. Like the professional and collegiate sports, it’s a business. I bet you had fun growing up doing everything Jay-Z told you and then he went and bought a team with your money.

Come talk to me when you finally finish that associate’s degree at your local community college.

What was the end game for this? I mean surely Russell had a purpose if he goes so far to record it and post it. A lot of people post dumb stuff on the internet, but more of it is at least spontaneous. There’s nothing spontaneous about setting up a teammate. I don’t care about the "bro code" or "snitching." It would be one thing if Young was beating on her, but I’m not sure cheating was the thing he needed to fall on the sword for. Now if we see him with Iggy in a few months, then I guess we know what the plan was for. If your teammates don’t trust you that is a huge problem.

It will be really interesting how the Lakers deal with this situation. D’Angelo Russell may have just made himself into an outcast. That’s one of the worst things one player could do to another. I wonder what the long term ramifications will be. Russell’s going to have to perform at a high level to be worth the headache and chemistry issues.

Yikes.  Judging from the video it was apparent that Nick Young did not want to be bothered from his tonality and lack of eye contact.  He was on his laptop, watching TV.  D’Angelo either did not pick up on that social cue or did not care enough to respect Nick’s desire to be left alone.  I work as a therapist for at risk teens and have been around many kids with some serious issues.  That interaction right there is very typical of teens I work with that have austism spectrum disorder.  Now I am not saying that D’Angelo has that, but it just goes to show his lack of maturity from the interaction and that is leaving out the fact he did not even think about the consequences of leaking that video.

Nick Young is wrong for cheating on his fiance.  A good friend would call him out on that, as I have with some of my friens with infedility issues.  However posting that online is not the way to go about it.  What happens in the family is best served as being resolved within the family.

Exactly, if he had a problem with what Nick Young is doing, tell your homeboy why you think it’s wrong and why he shouldn’t be doing that. Don’t out him nationally on video like a little hoe, that’s wack.

What exactly did Russell expect to prove by doing this? I can’t think of any scenario where documenting "guy talk" leads to an anything positive.

Drama kid Russell is playing for the wrong Lost Angeles team….with all of that drama, homeboy should be playing for the NBA’s Drama Queen team….the Lost Angeles Clippers! But that can some times happens when you draft a kid….they will act like a kid!

Whoa…this is one of the most absurd locker room stories of all time… Russell better have one hell of an explanation.  Forget about teammates liking you.  He likely will have no friends in the league after this.

Am I the only one who is surprised espn went with this story? I am not usually surprised by the practices of espn. Still, I still feel as though even a couple years ago this would be on tmz and worldstar and not espn.

Not that I want to know about this or care about these players, but in California what D Russell did is probably a crime.

Probably not the best way to get the fresh start for the franchise next year with all the free agent money when the star prospect is doing this.

Coach gone, nearly everyone on the roster gone, Randle might be the only Laker from this season who returns.

I’m confused… Russell said he didn’t leak the video. Well, who did?

To me, this was just a prank gone wrong between two immature dudes. It’ll be a bad look for Russell for a little while, but it’ll pass.
