I noticed it an I wasn’t really shocked as I could see maybe Sacremento could be be buying in to the Chris Webber hype. I doubt that Monroe is picked that high. To me he is a very solid starter that is very versatile. While Demarcus Cousin has all-star potential. I think those picks need to be swapped around. The real shocker was did you see Patrick Patterson going to the Golden State Warriors.

yeah the Monroe to SAC doesn’t shock me too much. him & ‘Reke are good friends, and they had great chemistry in all the HS all-star games they played in together. but Patterson to GS?!? I’m still scratching my head about that one. Cousins would be the perfect fit for Detroit from a toughness and post scoring standpoint. but there’s no way he’ll slip that far. they’ll have to trade up if they want him.

I had Patrick Patterson going to GSW on my Mock before this came out. Patterson is the perfect player for GSW. he is a bruising power forward with range and quickness. he is more consistent than Randolph, a player I like his game but he has been taking a while to develop and be consistent.

Sheltwon3 I think its a bit of a reach for GSW to pick Patrick Patterson. I respect your opionion but who would you rather have Greg Monroe or Patrick Patterson?

I have long thought that Sacramento would have a great deal of interest in Monroe because of the value Geoff Petrie has placed on big men with high IQs and able to pass the ball.

Cousins should absolutely be top three. He is not a crazy person and has no criminal history, yet so many people want to compare him to players whose resumes entering the league involved serious events. Being surly and getting in shouting matches with a coach in the middle of a game are not deal breakers. Guess what, Kobe has chewed out Phil and that staff. Jordan cursed out everyone. Shaq cursed out coaches. Not everyone is David Robinson. Boston is likely headed to the Finals, right. Rasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins, Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Tony Allen, and Nate Robinson. Every single one of those guys have been surly and yelled at coaches. They may very well win the title because they are all really good at playing basketball. If a team feels they don’t have the coach staff that can handle DeMarcus Cousins, it speaks to their staff, not Cousins. Good coaching staffs know how to handle the emotions of their players.

Greivis is a tough one. I think where he goes depends on whether he would be willing to play oversees for a year. A team like Miami might want to have the option of sending their players to Europe if they can catch some big fish and go the veteran route. The Lakers are another team that may want to send a guy away for seasoning. Memphis might want to do that with one of their late firsts if they don’t deal/sell one. If he is committed to trying to make a team next year, then it will probably be one of the teams with GMs that value big program, big conference, established track record players. The Pacers are at the top of that list.
