Deuce Bello
I think he was always a great athlete but very raw from a skill standpoint. Watching his highlights Duece was known for his vertical explosion and finishing ability at the rim. Alot of his highlights came in transition or lobs and it didnt seem from watching his youtube vids that he played against other high caliber players.
He wasn't known to have much of a jumpshot or be the most creative with his handle. A players highlights doesn't always tell whether he will be a good "basketball player" or not.
Yeah, he is very raw, at this point in his career his potential is on the defensive end because he is a willing defender and he really doesn't have a lot going on with the ball in his hands. He's gotten some decent minutes in certain games this year, but he doesn't fill up the stat sheet. He plays defense and doesn't look for his own shot. He looks like an athletic role player, if he makes it to the next level, much like DeAndre Liggins....IMO
Yeah he was "Mr Hoopmixtape" in high school. I always said if he had a handle he would be John Wall 2.0. but he does not get any freedom and he cant create. He is a good defender and he can take it to the rack. He needs to work on his handle and shooting off the dribble. Hes only a soph

What's up with this kid? I remember the hype was there when he arrived at Baylor with his homie Quincy Miller. Both had disappointing freshman seasons, and now Quincy is gone and Deuce barely gets time this year. Is dude just not that good? Somebody insured me that he was simply a package deal to get Quincy, but I saw dude in HS and he was legit.
