wu raiden23xxParticipantwhats your guys thoughts on the pistons , they fire john kuester and hire lawrence frank hes been in winning enviroments with the nets and last year with the celtcis he probally learned stuff from doc and hes young which i think is a good thing for a coach and a rebulding team .
second of all ben gordon and charlie villanueva have deffiently underachived in detroit gordon use to be that guy that could shoot u in an out of games but he could still at times produce really good numberss an for some reason i feel like villanueva could be better i dont know if he could be a starter on a good team but i dont see why not on a bad team for a big guy he can shoot and go in the post , the coach liked him off the bench cuz he brought energy but u have energy players that could come off the bench like maxiel or jerebko.
third is whats the deal with rip and prince should the organization continue foward with these guys because theyve been there the longest or should they just move on an rebuild there good players but there not franchise players each year they get older and u wonder if they can still produce for an entire season. i think they should start ben gordon over rip, i just dont see rip dropping big numbers any more and i think gordon as a starter would be more productive number wise then rip where i think rip could be perfect for coming off the bench and get like 10 or 12 points i think he would be more effective then gordon in coming off the bench .
i think next season rodney stuckey has to step up big time its time for him to prove wheher he can be a good pg in this lg hes got decent stats but stats arnt everything i think the way he runs the offense needs to improve and i dont think he can hit threes right he needs to work on that

WestConfsOverratedParticipantI like the Pistons. They have a very talented roster but have had an abysmal offense and defense the last couple of seasons thanks to injuries, coaching problems, and the death of the team owner which put them into limbo for over a year. They’re good at all positions except C, and with Ben Wallace retiring right around the corner, they’ll need to make some moves because they were one of the worst defenses in the paint. The Pistons have gone from one of the top blocking and rebounding teams to one of the worst blocking and rebounding teams thanks to the decline of Sheed and Ben.
On the plus side, they have Greg Monroe and Jonas Jerebko developing which should help them with this in the future.
Charlie V is a good player the Pistons can use but I can understand how fans are frustrated with a 6’11 guy who gets bullied inside. He can play to his strengths though, but this situation is not ideal for doing that with the Pistons lack of depth in the front court.
I’m not really sold on Lawrence Frank. He inherited a great Nets team and they progressively got worse, to the point where he couldn’t get a head coaching job in the league anymore after being highly praised for his debut streak. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt though because he is one of the youngest coaches in the league and this is a whole different team. The Pistons players have had problems with the last few coaches, so let’s see if this is any different.

surveParticipantI would like to see the Pistons do well but for the past few years, they have had one of the worst rosters as far as position in the league.
Everybody plays the same positions! Too many combo guards and tweener forwards. No true point guard on the roster but about 4 or 5 combo guards (and just drafted another). Small forwards who have identical style. Maxiel maybe in a bad position rotation wise. Its just a mess. They really need to do some trading and get some more position specific players.
Stuckey however, is a straight beast and they probably need to look at trading him and getting something really good in return because he should have the highest trade value on the team.
I really would start getting rid of some players and revamping the roster. The good thing is, a lot of their players have good trade value and could help a lot of teams out.
